as usual, the worst of the lot:

Too High: Lehigh (would they even finish 7th in the Big Sky or MVC?), Towson & UD

Too Low: Cal Poly, N. Arizona & SDSU (unranked cmon!)

What a crock. Lehigh has gotten the job done despite a bunch of miscues, they have the talent to overcome and the guts to persevere. Maybe you need to go brood with your brood.

A real #7 team doesn't need to overcome miscues or persevere against the middle of the pack and worse. They just win.

Yet this is the only poll to leave out the five loss Panthers of Northern Iowa. How is the worst poll the only one to get that right?

"Middle of the pack" is being generous.
If you think it's just Delaware fans hatin on Lehigh, look at some of the more respected rating systems:
Sagarin has Lehigh at #33
Sagarin Predictor #38
Massey #35
Self #37
Born #56

And Lehigh has yet to play a team ranked higher than 40th in any of these rating systems.
This means at least 40 other FCS teams would be favored to win every game Lehigh has played.

Not having SDSU ranked is much worse than having UNI ranked.

We just finished playing the #3 -9 & 11 teams in that order and then took the last week off.
last half of the season should be interesting ....

Cal Poly isn't going to receive any respect from the coachs until they beat Sacramento State or Eastern Washington. I'm still shocked at the low ranking though.

Least amount of people voting. The higher the amount of voters, the greater the chance you're going to find some votes you think are idiotic.

You Lehigh fans are so sensitive. When 100% of the board thinks you're overrated, don't you think there is something to it?

I haven't posted on here since last season but I read the board constantly. I agree that Lehigh is nowhere close to the 7th ranked team in the country, but you all act like we're the only team in these polls that gets ranked based on respect/previous year's performance. So a 5 loss UNI team still getting votes has nothing to do with the fact that they're a perennial FCS contender/powerhouse? All preseason polls are based on reputation and previous years' performances and that is why Lehigh was ranked as high as they were in the preseason. And besides, when they make the bracket, they won't worry about rankings.

This is a good argument for one week or two, but when a team consistently turns the ball over, it will be exploited greatly once they start playing top tier teams. Looking at Lehigh's schedule, that will happen in the playoffs. If they want to prove they belong in the top tier, they really need to eliminate this turnover problem before the playoffs start. They have 18 turnovers on the season already.

In the words of Mr. Natural, "Don't mean sheeeeeeet." We're always favored to lose against any school from the 'elite' conferences, yet we win our share.

Based on their performance so far this year, neither will their opponent, who will likely be ranked below Lehigh. xnodxxlolx
