The Lafayette Leopards (3-2, 1-0) visit the historic Yale Bowl to battle the Yale Bulldogs (1-3, 0-2). Kick-off is at NOON, making it one of the first games of the day. The Leopards have taken the last two games from Yale (1-3) in a series that dates back to 1912, but has included just three meetings in the new millennium. Both teams are coming off 20-point home losses last week, the Leopards losing 35-14 to Princeton and the Bulldogs surrendering a 34-14 setback to Ivy League foe Dartmouth.

I hope they don't

That's what Yale does. Move the ball, then melt down when you get close to scoring territory

This is one bad Yale team

Fortunately, Lafayette has been equally as bad the last two weeks.

I repeat, this is one bad Yale team

Wow, what was just a horrendous pass by Williams. Not even close.

Interception by Lafayette...think the Pards have picked off the most passes in the country (or close to it).

Yale scores to go up 7-0 in the 2nd quarter

bulldog10jw

Yale 7 Lafayette 7 - 2nd quarter

Lafayette is gradually turning the game around

Yale 10 Lafayette 7

Disappointing to gain huge chunks of yardage moving down field then do nothing inside the 10

This is The Hapless vs. The Desperate so far. The Canadian RB for Yale is pretty good, though.

Tavani is an idiot... way to manage the clock. A TO with 12 seconds left, now?? After waiting?

Total bonehead. Play calling today is just terrible. Frank will piss another one away for us. We on't win big again until Frank is gone,

Maybe we could pick up the pace and go back to those short, quick throws.

Second half . . . . Pards get ball . . . . offensive plays developing SO slowly.

Shoop is getting practically no OL protection.

Shake my head. 3rd and 22 and Lafayette converts.

Lafayette takes a 14-10 lead

Yale has reverted to their, let them catch the ball, then tackle them defense

Yale is NOT a 2nd half team so this is not looking good.

Yale QB getting god protection; setting up runs for Varga. Yale looking good.

Yale missed FG - Pards are lucky.

Once again, Yale moves the ball in big chunks of yardage, then falls apart as soon as they get near the red zone.

Shane Black interception in Yale red zone! Very timely.

Shoop sacked. Pards can't take advantage of the INT.

So it's still 14-10 Lafayette. Yale starts on their own 15 after the punt.

I don't think anyone really can know how Columbia feels. Columbia football and their players simply are put in an untenable situation, year after year.

Congrats to LC

And our little Leopard-ears off to Yale as well for another good, clean game in this series. I'm glad that Tyler Varga got to play. The kid shouldn't have been put through all that suspense. I have to wonder who was asleep at the switch in allowing all that eligibility drama to begin with.

Good luck with Penn next week - a national TV game. We'll see you guys (and Mr. Varga) back in Easton next season.

Why do we never schedule a "down Yale" team??? Infuriating....4-27 all-time vs the Eli...no one and I mean no one else comes close to beating us like that historically.

I'm not even sure if we have HC scheduled in the future. The Yale website only has the 2013 and 2014 schedules posted.

Are you sure? The Yale schedule for 2013 that I saw has our OOC games as Colgate, Fordham, and Cal Poly
