pretty easy week

Illinois State -- might be a rout with the way SIU is playing right now, Lennon might be done this year if it continues
.
NDSU -- good game but the Bison defense is really good...should slow down YSU's offense. YSU's defense is OK, Bison offense should move the ball.

USD -- going with the Coyotes in this home game for them.

Indiana State -- going with the home team.

4-0 last week to bring season total to: 33-4

YSU has not blitzed this year, maybe only a few plays here or there. I think they save them for the Bison.

That will be an interesting 'subplot' to this game.

NDSU kept UNI's blitz in check for most of the game. I think Jensen was sacked once.

YSU has also beaten the Bison the last 3 times they have played in the dome (I think).

YSU offense is more explosive than UNI's. They will be able to move the ball on that defense. Scoring may be a different story however. Should be the game of the year at this point in the season.

Twice by a combined 4 or 5 points...I think.

Yes, YSU will probably move the ball but not easily. This Bison defense is good. UNI scored 35 on YSU's defense and 21 (7 at very end of game) on the Bison. It will come down to your defense and their ability to stop the Bison offense....which I don't think they can do.

Our D will be a little different against YSU, as they will have the crowd behind them and at home

SIU (1-1 2-3) @ ISU-r* (2-0 5-0) Birds are flying high don't expect them to go into a nosedive this week

YSU* (1-0 4-0) @ NDSU* (1-0 4-0) Bison have payback on their minds but it won't easy, a squeaker of a win in the dome.

WIU (0-1 1-2) @ USD (0-1 1-3) Home field advantage gets the yotes a much needed win in conference

MSU (0-2 0-5) @ ISU-b (1-1 2-2) The woes continue for Misery St.

there we go although ISU-b has been underwhelming this year so i could see an upset there

I was thinking that as well. I have seen a few MSU games, and they are definitly not the worst winless team in the FCS.

3-1 last week...should have known NOT to pick SIU. So it's 32-6 for the season and it's onto this MVFC week:

Winners:

Birds
Bison
Yotes
Trees

Homecoming for the Birds, and SIU seems to be reeling. Payback time for the Bison over the Guins. Yotes might be better than people are giving them credit for so far. Trees will stand tall at home over what looks like this year's cellar dwellers...MSU.

Looking forward to another great weekend of MVFC games, and that Bison/Guins matchup should be an absolute dandy..YES! xrotatehx

Home team chalk, but I think WIU could scare USD (just a hunch/feeling I have for some reason).

Maybe I was thinking YSU has beaten NDSU 3 times in a row at the dome

This crowd will be way different than last years, the playoff run did something to ignite the football spark and get people up off their butts

It will make a difference ask GSU

Southern Illinois @ Illinois St - The Redbirds seem to have a habit of playing down to their competition so there's a slim chance of an upset here.
Youngstown St @ North Dakota St - I think the Bison players will remember YSU celebrating on the Fargodome turf on their senior day last year and win this one by about 10.
Western Illinois @ South Dakota - I think the Necks get the running game rolling off the bye and pick up a tight win.
Missouri St @ Indiana St - The Bears won't go winless but this isn't the week for their first W.

Man I'm glad they actually play these games and don't just award them based on consensus. Otherwise you Bison fans would be well on your way to a 2nd consecutive undefeated season....oh wait my bad.

So Bison fans are confident in a team that has so far run the table. We have a team filled with players coming back off a NC. We are at home and this will be up to this point the biggest game of the year. What are we supposed to be automatically giving you the "W" because you think your team is better? We will find out on Saturday. By the way your user name and avatar don't agree with each other. :D

Home teams prevail. Tightest game should be MoSt @ Sycs. MoSt D is pretty good, and they're pretty balanced on how to run O. Like UNI, much better than their record would indicate.

USD gets first MVFC W @ home. The Yotes wins on the road this season may not occur.

The avatar was happy a couple hours before that photo, at least he is still dapper.

No you guys should be confident and all, I just find it funny that you all speak about how much better you were than when we beat you, but apparently everyone else you play is just treading water. I'm getting a kick out of some off the predicted scores I'm seeing.

Home teams all win.

ISUR gets a nice HC win vs the poodles.

NDSU gets some payback for last year, wins by 10 at home.

USD gets its first MVFC win. Beats Western by 14ish.

Indy State gets a solid home win against MSU by 10 or so.

I just started making my predictions last week, but I'm off to a good start, 4-0 on the season. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I pretty much hit the nail on the head last week:

ISU-r* (1-0 4-0) @ USD (0-0 1-2) - Game will be far closer than some are indicating, with chance of Yote upset; Redbirds by 1-4 pts. Redbirds won by 3, as predicted.
ISU-b (0-1 2-2) @ SIU (1-0 2-2) - The home loss to SDSU motivates the Indiana St.; Trees by 3-7 pts. Trees won by 21, so I was a little short.
NDSU* (0-0 3-0) @ UNI (0-1 0-3) - UNI is fortunate to be at home, or this one would be uglier; Bison by 10-14 pts. Bison won by 12, right on the money again.
MSU (0-1 0-4) @ SDSU (1-0 3-1) - I feel MSU is better than most are giving them credit; Jacks by 13-17 pts. Rabbits won by 10, so very close.

Here are my Week 6 predictions:

SIU (1-1 2-3) @ ISU-r* (2-0 5-0) - Coming off back to back poor offensive performances, SIU will be focused and make things close. Redbirds by 4-7 pts.

YSU* (1-0 4-0) @ NDSU* (1-0 4-0) - No time to relax after last week; NDSU remembers last year and gets revenge. Bison by 13-17 pts.

WIU (0-1 1-2) @ USD (0-1 1-3) - USD is far better than people think, especially at home. They'll roll this weekend. Coyotes by 16-20 pts.

MSU (0-2 0-5) @ ISU-b (1-1 2-2) - If MSU if the worst team in the MVFC, this is one hell of a tough conference. Trees by 6-10 pts.
