Hoping PC is the cure for what ails us. So far so good.

Acrobatic Mitch McGrath INT leads to Wildcat heavy drive for Furman leads to missed chip-shot FG by Ray Early. Still 14-0 Furman with 1:50 left in first quarter.

Paladins currently outgaining Blue Hose 180 to 5.

Ugly ugly game so far. Presbyterian fan next to me is begging for a holding penalty on every play. Furman came to play and brought some fans today for sure.

Big missed opportunity for Blue Hose- long completion gave them 1st and goal at the 5. But then penalties + sacks turned that into 4th and goal from the 27. Missed FG. Still 14-0, early in second quarter.

Wonder if Furman will start to open things up here. They've gone almost exclusively with the run thus far.

21-0 Furman. I'm being entertained by a Presbyterian fan who claims that the refs are SoCon officials.

The route is on. Furman up 21-0.

Impressive catch and long run by Colin Anderson sets up another Furman TD. 21-0 Furman, 7:50 to go in 2nd.

Reese Hannon is 6-7 for 91 yards, and Furman's already got 162 yards on the ground. Things are going decently so far.

On the television, there's no holding. Furman is just blowing PC off the line.

After losing 2 really close games to start the season will be nice to pick up the Win today and come play a home game next Saturday!

PC is getting flagged a lot. They should stop committing such blatant penalties.

Hannon puts the ball on a dime.

Presbyterian appears that they didn't prepare for a battle. Furman is going to go into the half up 24-0. Furman looks pretty good, considering I've never seen either team play before. I'm heading to te Furman side in the second half.

24-0 Furman at the half. Had some opportunities to really put it away, but PC started getting some pressure on Hannon.

Pretty happy with 166 yards passing and 168 yards rushing for one half.

You are a long way from home (or at least your team). Welcome to the board.

Furman responds with a loooooong TD drive. 31-7 Furman with 0:36 left in the 3rd quarter.

Paladins getting sloppy. 31-15 with 10:00 to go.

We're seemingly making up for PC's penalties in the first half.

PC scores with 2:41 left. 2-point conversion coming.

Absolutely abysmal second half effort by the Paladins. Our youth on defense in particular is showing.

2-point conversion failed. 31-21 Furman with 2:41 to go.

What happened in the 2nd Half? I was watching in the 1st Half before heading to my game and Furman pretty much dominated.

Paladins run out the clock sitting on the PC 10 yard line. 31-21 final.

Things started to go south when a Furman TD was called back for a chopblock. That would have made it 38-7 at that point. That drive ended with yet another missed FG.

Apparently we played the second-team D on the next drive, and PC scored somewhat easily. On the next drive, with PC having the momentum, the drive was extended on a very bone-headed personal foul penalty by one of our freshman DBs. That allowed another PC TD.

Furman's second half was filled with missed opportunities, penalties, and mental mistakes. Which has been our problem all year long. This team has a lot of talent but needs to grow up fast.

Furman also has an offense full of Freshmen. PC decided that, down a bunch, they were going to bring pressure every play and be willing to surrender the big play.

Ugly Second half but the right result for our season starting over.

Problem, passing teams may have a field day when they play us

Good news is there are only a couple of teams left on the schedule that even use the forward pass.

Key stat is Furman did not turn the ball over and put up about 150 more yards on offense than their opponent. I'm less worried that PC made it a 10 point game against the backups.
