#21 New Hampshire @ #3 Old Dominion - This one should easily go over 100 total points
#9 James Madison @ Rhode Island - By a lot
Richmond @ Georgia State - Not close
Villanova @ Pennsylvania - Should be a good tight game if Penn doesn't turn it over 8 times this week
Albany @ #22 Maine - Danes are looking competitive again
St. Francis #15 Towson - In a walk
#17 Delaware @ W&M - Start #2 for Ortiz, and I think the tribe get their mojo back.

UNH over ODU in a shootout
JMU over Rhody by at least 4 TDs
Richmond over Georgia St if the Falcon's Monday Night game ever ends
Nova over UPenn in a nail bitter, maybe even OT
Maine over Albany, because I can't see them losing 2 in a row (since they're going to lose to us :D)
Towson over St. Francis
Bill and Mary over UDel in another close one

I'm with you on all the upsets this week, I'll take these same teams. We're going to find out a lot this weekend. UNH/ODU defense? I always like W&M a lot more when playing at home.

UNH @ ODU - 27-41 ODU offense better than last year, but the defense is as yet untested and unknown. If the defense is not up to the task, UNH could put up a lot of points. Game could be a mirror of the ODU-GaSo playoff, and go either way.

JMU @ URI 38-3 Move along, nothing to see here.

Nova @ Penn 24-12 Villanova well coached and getting better.

Richmond @ GAST 41-17 Rebuilding UR vs DIII err.....GaSt moving backwards this season. Seriously; this years product is so far the worst team GaSt has yet fielded.

Albany @ Maine 24-27 Maine down from last year, Albany looking very good. Home field to Maine.

St Francis @ Towson 10-48 This gaame is interesting only for the purpose of comparing JMU and Towson.

UD @ W&M 17-27 Tough call here. To date UD has had no defense. Against mighty Bucknell they had no offense either. W&M has defense. W&M could have offense if they would just pass some. Even with conservative play calling on offense, W&M D and home field give the Tribe their first win.

I mean on paper they are upsets, but honestly I don't think many people in this thread would be surprised if UNH/ODU, WM/DEL, or ALB/ME went either way. ODU would be the biggest upset, especially at home, but I UNH is a top 25 team. As far as Albany and W&M they are on the outside of the Top 25 looking in right now, and they are playing the back half of the Top 25. At this early point in the season the difference between a #17 and a #30 team could be a lot less than it appears.

Man does this look like a fun weekend. Looks like 4 really tight games this week

Hehe, true, but your total defense is 9th of 11 against hardly better cupcakes then we have played. Compare that to teams with better stats who have played FBS teams. JMU played a beast of an offense in WVU, and still has better defensive numbers than UD.

Your bend but not break may be by design, but I would be very, very concerned.
Heck, I am concerned about our defense against real teams; and we are #1 total and # 2 scoring.

It will be interesting to see how your offense does v W&M as well. :)

#21 New Hampshire @ #3 Old Dominion - 12 pm - CSN-NE/CSN-MA ODU O > UNH D. UNH will score, but not at the rate of the butterflies.

#9 James Madison @ Rhode Island - 1 pm - Sadly, this scares me as a JMU fan. Our team is BEAT UP after the WVU game. Not sure where the team is emotionally right now. Could be a bit of a trap after playing in an NFL stadium. Talent should overcome in the end, but expect this to be closer than it should be in a low scoring affair.

Richmond @ Georgia State - 3:30 pm - A bye week for the Spiders.

Villanova @ Pennsylvania - 3:30 pm - Classic battle for Philly. I see this as a pick 'em and I'll go with our conference mate.

Albany @ #22 Maine - 6 pm - Albany is playing well. Maine is good, but I did not like what I saw from the new QB. If Maine wins, it's all about their defense.

St. Francis (PA) @ #15 Towson - 7 pm - Towson flips JMU's game tape around and kills the Red Flash through the air.

#17 Delaware @ William & Mary - 7 pm - CSN-MA - I don't believe W&M is good yet. I don't believe that UD's defense is that bad. I have the hens ranked, but W&M could change that with a big win at home.

#21 New Hampshire @ #3 Old Dominion - 12 pm - CSN-NE/CSN-MA - Expecting a close game with ODU having a slow first half but managing to scrape out a win.
#9 James Madison @ Rhode Island - 1 pm - JMU rebounds and pulls off a road W
Richmond @ Georgia State - 3:30 pm - 71,228 empty seats (give or take 1,000) watch GSU lose...again.
Villanova @ Pennsylvania - 3:30 pm - Villanova seems to be improved over last year, barring a bunch of turnovers there's no reason they cannot get a win.
Albany @ #22 Maine - 6 pm - Seems possible
St. Francis (PA) @ #15 Towson - 7 pm - One more tune up before beginning CAA play in earnest
#17 Delaware @ William & Mary - 7 pm - CSN-MA - WM can't go 0-4, can they?

ODU 38 UNH 31 Monarchs score late to win

VU 27 Penn 17 Main Line starts to get big heads
Maine 30 Albany 23 Future conference brethren grudge match
TU 35 STFPA 17 Red Flash can score but can't stop scores
UD 20 W&M 13 Tribe loss means fans turn to golf on fall weekends

Want to point out that the Richmond Spiders have now scored 35+ points and won by three or more touchdown in three straight wins. They are rolling under the radar right now and could be way more of a force in the CAA than anyone predicted.

I don't want to rain on your parade, and you may end up being right, but the 3 teams you have beaten are a combined 0-11 against D1 competition. You have a brutal end of your schedule so we'll certainly find out what the Spiders are made of in the coming weeks. Congrats on the success so far though, they certainly have beaten the teams they were supposed to beat. xthumbsupx

That is a very fair point but I am still impressed considering we were picked 9th out of 11 teams. We will see whether or not we were under rated in the coming weeks.

Nova has been very dominant as well but haven't had that too tough of a schedule either - and they were picked 8th in the CAA. I feel that Nova and Richmond will trail off quite a bit as the season goes on, but both teams have a lot of good young talent.
