Cool temperatures here in Boone as the ASU band takes the field at Kidd Brewer Stadium. We are 15 minutes from kickoff.

There was a very cool video tribute about five minutes ago on the Montana-App State series. It rained for about a half hour about two hours back, but things have cleared up and we should have cloudy weather, but good conditions the rest of the way.

App State just entered the field with an explosion of fireworks. There seems to be a great deal of energy in this crowd. And Montana enters to a chorus of boos. 61 degrees officially at game time.

McKinney does a great job scrambling out of contain for a 68-yard bomb to Sam Gratton to the two. ASU pressured McKinney with just three down-linemen, but McKinney saw Gratton while he was on the run, stopped a threw a nice pass over the secondary, which Gratton had gotten behind.

*** is wet from sitting on the grass hill. One of my friends got in a fight and got kicked out. A bunch of the people I was with left with him. Got beer spilled all over me. My car is parked 3 miles away because it got kicked off for gameday parking. Worth it? Yes. Because I saw App FINALLY beat Montana.

College football doesn't get a whole lot better than that. Great game Griz. Exciting from start to finish, just like every time we match up. But this time, we managed to come out on top.

Classic. Nailbiter. Minus the turnovers and a few stupid penalties and the Griz walk away from The Rock a winner. Phenomenal game from two heavyweights going back and forth. Great crowd. Loud as hell in the fourth quarter. The Griz faithful were fantastic before and during the game. I'm extremely glad I got to meet and call some of 'em friends.
