Rightfully so! I'm presumptive they took this one in Heinz, and when I went two years ago, that was a tough place to play. Congrats to YSU.

It was at Heinz field. What was amazing is that the game didn't even seem close. The Penguins completely controlled the game from start to finish. As a matter of fact, the last drive of the game was a 6 minute 11 play drive to run the clock out and Youngstown ran the ball every single play and Pitt couldn't stop them. YSU then went into victory formation and kneeled on it to run the last 1:35 off the clock. YSU was close to scoring again and I dont doubt that they could have scored again.

I do not think it changes the outcome based on what I have read, but I saw this in the local paper. I do not know if any of these six would have even played, but something was up with Pitt this weekend.

Youngstown was a lot faster and a lot more physical. I am not sure it would have made a difference. Youngstown forced 2 turnovers and stopped them on a 4th and 1 and had only 1 penalty the entire game. The QB wasn't even touched and they were rushed.

I was there in 2006 and that team you had when Armanti Edwards was a freshman was simply outstanding. I was amazed by your speed at the time. I think the Penguins are just as fast this year. They made Pitt look slow. Really physical too.

The Rock is a nice place, reminds me of the Ice Castle. I like how the tailgating lot is above the stadium too. Only place I've ever seen like that. People were really nice too.

Similar score. 31-17 vs 34-10 Pitt is just not that good this year. Similar statistically in the box score, except YSU held the ball for much longer.

This game was never close.

Agree that the game was never close, however, Pitt had a TD called back on a penalty and had a TD intercepted in the end zone. Not sure what to make of YSU's win, however, they are very good this year. Pitt looks out of shape physically.

Laker
September 7th, 2012, 07:00 AM
Cincy scores on the first play from scrimmage and put Pitt in the hole right away. Pitt has a TD called back, then throws a pick. At the end of the first half they could have scored again and stupidly run out of time. They have a heck of a running back but just looked disjointed all night. They are a team in trouble. The ACC couldn't have been happy watching that game.

Still it doesn't take anything away from Youngstown.
