Senior captain linebacker Robert McCabe (Newtown Square, Pa./Malvern Prep) was named Patriot League Preseason Defensive Player of the Year when the major awards were announced during Patriot League Football Media Day at Green Pond Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa. on Wednesday morning. McCabe becomes Georgetown's first major preseason award-winner since joining the Patriot League in 2001.
