Academic All-Southland two years in a row with 3.18 grade point average ... started 31 games for the Bearkats during the past three seasons at offensive tackle. 2005 -- All-Southland honorable mention ... started all 10 games at offensive tackle, blocking for attack that ranked third in the SLC in passing yardage ... 2004 -- started 13 games at offensive left tackle ... blocked for the Bearkat offense that led the Southland in passing, total offense, and scoring ... team ranked among the top five teams in NCAA Division I-AA football in all three categories. 2003 -- started at offensive left tackle in the final eight games as a true freshman ... replaced All-Southland Conference tackle Travis Maxey in the lineup after Maxey was lost to injury. High school -- two-time All-District 23-5A selection for Coach John Patterson ... team captain of 8-4 state playoff team as senior

Agreed! Always good to have a steady force at that LT position. Solid student as well per the SHSU norms for our athletes, who possess the top GPA in the conference without a General Studies degree being offered! :hurray:

#73, David Tillman

http://images.sportsinfosystems.com/50/17/42533/5551.jpg

A highly-decorated prep, Tillman came to MSU after an outstanding career for coach Dan Morris at Ft. Zumwalt South. He received first team all-state, all-conference, all-metro and all-district honors as a senior. Tillman and his offensive linemates cleared the way for a rushing attack that averaged 212 yards per game. He made 33 consecutive starts his final three years, collecting 89 tackles as a senior after 77 as a junior. Tillman was listed as a Super 30 recruit by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and the top offensive lineman in Missouri by Inside Mizzou.
