Andy Kerr's new Daktronics scoreboard has begun to be installed. You can follow progress here: link (http://www.gocolgateraiders.com/News/gen/2006/6/6/general662006.asp?path=gen)

Daktronics is installing a new scoreboard in Andy Kerr Stadium, which will feature a 12' x 21' video screen. The entire football scoreboard will be 64' wide and 43'4" tall.

This scoreboard will be a sweet addition to our stadium, and with all of our home games televised, instant replay will be possible on the video screen!

Not sure what Lafayette is doing with their new stadium, but for now this scoreboard will be the best in the PL!

A reasonable question for Hamilton, NY: What is the lowest temperature at which this thing will function? Will it be visible when completely caked with ice?

As for Lafayette's renovation, I have not seen even one word about a scoreboard. For 2006 I'm betting that the current 45-year old "basic information" board will be in place. Next year however, with the new "Varsity House" occupying that space, the scoreboard will at least have to be moved. The architect's drawing shows it located to the right of the Varsity House and angled toward the home stands where it probably could not be seen on the visitors' side of the field. Cannot imagine that is the intent. Also, the drawing does not leave one with the impression that it will be anything special. Any news on this P4L?

Can someone give the thread again where the Fisher Field plans were posted? I want to look again. Sorry 13, for the hijack...

We got folks from South Dakota building it. They might know something about snow!

The rational me says "No way! I'll watch it on TV." The emotional me is waiting for results from the Penn and Harvard games before making any commitments.

Here's the thread from the goleopards website. Don't know if this is what you need or not.

Looks great - that old Colgate scoreboard dated to 1966, so this is a terrific upgrade.

They are designed and made in Brookings, SD. The cold, snow, and ice, won't be a problem. ;) xlolx

Sorry carney, don't know anything about scoreboard plans. With lights and new surface, I don't think it is a priority right now.

Personally, a plain 'ol basic info board is all right with me.

Thx Carney, its too small to notice stuff like scoreboards and coaches box locations. Didn't one of the other Pards post something more detailed?

We couldn't wait for the lines to be strung, so we went ahead and got ourselves set up off the grid!

Hey, I'm already scheduled to be in Hamilton in late September! Do I need to bring my own windmill, or will about a gross of AA Alakaline batteries take care of it? ;)

Don't worry, we're into methane production too!
