Congrats to Delaware, Northeastern, and Youngstown for having recruits playing in the annual Big-33 game. It looks like UD with 2 (probably 3), YSU with 2 (probably 1), and Northeastern with 1. ...sorry I do not have a complete roster.

Although the game has lost some luster, with most top PA/OH recruits committed early and not wanting to risk injury, and state all-star games ...the game is making a comeback. For years, it has been considered the top prep game in the nation. The game features 33 players from each state playing ironman ball. That is both offense and defense for those that do not know. An interesting stat ...up until last year, there had never been a superbowl played that did not feature at least two players that were in the big-33 as college recruits. Last year, Ben Rothlisberger was the only super-bowl participant that had played in the big-33. Nice recruiting Hens, Guins, and Huskies.

That is an impressive stat, to be sure. Obviously, there is some impressive talent taking the field for the Big 33 based off of that.

Even cooler than I-AA schools being represented in this excellent game, is that LIberty HS in Bethlehem, PA has two players. Sorry for the personal kudos for my HS alma mater. Finished 2nd in quad A state finals to McKeesport, also represented on the team. (I was the fourth quarterback in line in 1991...behind the two guys selected who went to Maryland, Marchese and Milanovich).

The two running backs on the team are going to Penn St and Maryland - Bradley's probably going to be very good, but I don't think anyone thought he was the best back in PA this year. He was on the East/West All-Star game roster before opting to pull out - with no back-up for Cuff this year Bradley will see time right away as a true freshman - no need to risk injury with the amount of playing time he will see this fall.
