Cal Poly signed Folsom QB Tanner Trosin (6'1" 175). As a senior in 2011 Tanner threw for 5,185 yards and 49 TDs and rushed for 1,179 yards and 20 TDs. The 5,185 yards passing is a California State record. His total yardage of 6,364 is also a state record.
Tanner started as a Safety in 2010 as a Jr on Folsom's DII State Championship team and backed up Maxpreps Player of the Year Dano Graves at QB. He wasn't heavily recruited because he only started at QB for one year and he does not have the size most FBS schools want.

Tanner Trosin, QB, 6-1, 175, Folsom, CA (Folsom HS)
Trosin made the most of his one season as starting quarterback under head coach Kris Richardson at Folsom High School, shattering school, section and state records by completing 360 of 527 passes (68 percent) for 5,185 yards and 49 touchdowns with 17 interceptions en route to Max Preps State Division II Player of the Year honors. He finished No. 3 in the nation in passer ratings and No. 1 in California. Four of his games exceeded the 400-yard mark in passing, including a Northern California record 601-yard performance in a 49-46 victory against Deer Valley when he completed 34 of 49 passes, and he produced seven other 300-yard passing games. Trosin also surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in rushing, accumulating 1,179 yards on 215 carries and scoring 20 touchdowns. His totals include five games over the 100-yard mark, including a season-best 167 yards against Jesuit. Trosin's state record 6,364 yards in total offense was No. 2 in the nation and No. 1 in the state, and his 69 total touchdowns are the second most in state history, behind only fellow Bulldog Dano Graves' 85 in 2010. Folsom posted an 11-3 overall record, finished second in the Delta River League at 4-1 and reached the championship game of the CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section Division II playoffs against Vacaville, won by Vacaville 39-35. Trosin passed for 407 yards and four touchdowns, completing 25 of 41 passes, and rushed for 101 yards and another score in the title game. Trosin played in the Holiday Classic all-star game in December 2011. His postseason honors include MaxPreps Medium Schools All-American Second Team presented by the U.S. Air Force, All-CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section All-American Offensive Player of the Year as chosen by Max Preps, Co-Most Valuable Player of the Delta River League and Sacramento Bee All-Metro Offensive Player of the Year. As a junior, Trosin was a starter at defensive back and backed up quarterback Dano Graves (now at Air Force). He made 35 tackle (27 solo) and intercepted two passes, returning one 80 yards for a touchdown, and on offense rushed for 219 yards and three scores, completed 14 of 19 passes for 233 yards and two more touchdowns and caught nine passes for 69 yards and a pair of scores. Trosin's father, Tony Trosin, quarterbacked Sacramento State to its last FCS playoff berth in 1988 and his brother, Tyler, is on scholarship at Oregon State as a wide receiver.

Marvin Abou, OL/DL, 6-4, 250, San Diego, CA (Scripps Ranch HS)
Abou earned first-team All-Eastern League honors on the defensive line as a senior under head coach Joe Meyer at Scripps Ranch High School. Abou also is a two-time San Diego Union-Tribune All-Academic Team selection. Among team awards he earned last fall were team captain, defensive player of the year and outstanding defensive lineman. Scripps Ranch was 3-8 overall last fall, but earned a berth in the CIF-San Diego Section Division II playoffs. Abou, who recorded an interception and a sack in his senior season, was invited to play in the San Diego vs. Los Angeles Prep Star All-Star Game.
Colin Dzubnar, DE, 6-3, 230, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA (Mission Viejo HS)
Dzubnar, younger brother of Cal Poly linebacker Nick Dzubnar, recorded 55 tackles (25 solo) as a senior under head coach Bob Johnson at Mission Viejo High School. Among his tackles were 6.5 sacks, including four against Huntington Beach, and he also recovered one fumble against Cabrillo. Dzubnar helped Mission Viejo to a 10-3 overall record, a South Coast League championship with a 4-0 mark and a berth in the semifinal round of the CIF-Southern Section Pac 5 Division playoffs. Dzubnar earned second-team All-South Coast League honors.
Nick Enriquez, OL, 6-5, 270, Chino Hills, CA (Chino Hills HS)
A three-year varsity letter winner as an offensive lineman under head coach Derek Bub at Chino Hills High School, Enriquez earned a spot on the All-CIF-Southern Section Inland Division Team as well as the All-San Gabriel Valley Area Team. Enriquez also was named to the All-Sierra League and All-Inland Valley first teams. Enriquez led the Huskies to a 6-5 mark in 2011, second place in the Sierra League and a berth in the CIF-Southern Section Inland Division playoffs, where they lost 39-38 to Rancho Cucamonga in the first round. Enriquez's accolades as a junior include spots on the All-Sierra League first team, All-San Gabriel Valley Area Team and All-CIF-Southern Section Inland Division Team.
Matthew Fisher, OL, 6-4, 255, Danville, CA (San Ramon Valley HS)
Fisher anchored an offensive line that protected Cal-bound quarterback Zach Kline and led San Ramon Valley under head coach Mark Kessler to a 10-4 record, second place in the East Bay Athletic League and runner-up finish in the CIF-North Coast Section Division 1 playoffs. The Wolves lost to De La Salle 49-13 at the Oakland Coliseum. Fisher, a team captain, earned first-team All-East Bay Athletic League honors, San Francisco Chronicle All-Metro accolades and was named to the All-East Bay second team by the San Jose Mercury News. He played in the Holiday Classic All-Star Game in December as a starting left tackle. Other honors include the Jack Fragie Award as San Ramon Valley's most outstanding lineman, runner-up for the San Ramon Valley Rotary Club's Peter Villa Award as the team's most outstanding football player and CIF-North Coast Section Scholar-Athlete Award. Fisher also was a defensive lineman and long snapper. On defense, he recorded 40 total tackles (16 solo) and recovered a fumble against Folsom. As a junior, Fisher was a center for a team that finished 7-6 overall and was a semifinalist in the CIF-North Coast Section Division 1 playoffs. He also competes on San Ramon Valley's wrestling team while his sister, Melissa, competes in water polo at Colorado State. Fisher was recruited by Air Force, Army, Colorado State and Sacramento State before choosing Cal Poly. He serves on San Ramon Valley High's Leadership Council as ASB Public Relations Officer and enjoys mentoring middle school students through the Leadership Impact Program.
Kori Garcia, RB, 5-10, 190, Los Angeles, CA (Santa Monica HS)
Last fall, Garcia led Santa Monica, under head coach Travis Clark, to its first Ocean League title in 10 years, an 11-2 overall record and into the semifinals of the CIF-Southern Section Western Division playoffs. Garcia, a running back and linebacker, was named most valuable player of the Ocean League after rushing 193 times for 1,339 yards and 18 touchdowns, catching nine passes for 105 yards and two more scores and securing 76 total tackles (53 solo) and a trio of interceptions, on defense. He rushed for 207 yards on 27 carries and one score against Culver City, scored four touchdowns against Hawthorne and made a season-high 15 tackles against Inglewood. On defense, Garcia also recorded three sacks, three fumble recoveries and forced two fumbles. A three-year starter, Garcia earned first-team All-Ocean League honors three times -- as a defensive back as a sophomore and as a running back in his junior and senior seasons. He was named to the All-CIF-Southern Section Western Division first team as a senior. In his junior season (2010), Garcia rushed for 856 yards and nine touchdowns, caught nine passes for 17 yards and notched 46 total tackles (30 solo), two interceptions and five pass breakups. As a sophomore, Garcia recorded 263 yards and two touchdowns rushing and made 52 tackles (40 solo).
Joseph Gigantino, LB, 6-2, 219, San Jose, CA (Bellarmine Prep)
Gigantino earned first-team All-West Catholic Athletic League honors three times and was named the league's most valuable linebacker as a senior, leading the Bells under head coach Mike Janda to a 12-2 record, WCAL title, CIF-Central Coast Section Open Division championship and a berth in the state Division I title game, won by Santa Margarita 42-37 at the Home Depot Center in Carson. Gigantino caught eight passes as a tight end, scoring one touchdown against San Leandro, and notched 91 tackles and 12 sacks as a linebacker, recording two sacks in state title game. Gigantino earned first-team All-Central Coast Section honors as selected by the San Jose Mercury News and also was chosen the section's defensive player of the year and team defensive MVP. He also landed on Cal-Hi Sports' all-state second team, the San Francisco Chronicle's All-Metro Team and the All-NorCal first team as selected by NorCalPreps.com. Last month Gigantino was named to Max Preps' All-State Division I first team as a linebacker and ESPN's Cal-High all-state second team. Gigantino also earned varsity letters as a junior and sophomore. Bellarmine Prep was 9-3 in 2010, finishing second in the WCAL and reaching the semifinals of the CIF-Central Coast Section Open Division playoffs. Gigantino was named team MVP, first-team All-WCAL and All-CIF-Central Coast Section second team. The Bells were 11-2-1 in 2009, shared first place with Archbishop Mitty in the WCAL, won another CIF-Central Coast Section Open Division title and was state Division I runnerup, losing to Oceanside 24-19. Gigantino intercepted two passes and forced four fumbles in sophomore season en route to the first of his three first-team All-WCAL honors.
Alex Hubbard, S, 5-9, 185, Fairfield, CA (Fairfield HS/College of San Mateo)
Hubbard was a safety and return specialist at College of San Mateo last fall helping the Bulldogs to an 8-3 record and the Bulldog Bowl championship in November with a 62-24 victory over Diablo Valley College. Hubbard recorded 45 total tackles (32 solo) along with 10 pass breakups. He returned three interceptions 117 yards and one touchdown (81 yards) and also averaged 4.7 yards on 15 punt returns and 21.1 yards on 14 kickoff returns. He earned first-team All-Northern California Football Association NorCal Conference honors and team defensive player of the year. As a freshman, Hubbard secured 22 tackles (13 solo) and two pass breakups and returned five punts and one kickoff. College of San Mateo also went 8-3 in 2010 and also won the Bulldog Bowl with a 27-20 triumph over College of Sequoias. A 2010 graduate of Fairfield High School, Hubbard rushed for 298 yards and four scores and caught 40 passes for 577 yards and eight more touchdowns in his senior season under head coach Jack Canavesio. Hubbard, despite missing three games and parts of two others due to injury, earned first-team All-Monticello Empire League, first-team All-Region (Fairfield Daily Republic) and first-team all-city honors as a wide receiver and was selected to play in the Holiday Classic All-Star Game and Polynesian All-Star Bowl. His statistics as a junior in 2008 include rushing for 498 yards and three scores and catching 68 passes for 1,478 yards and 14 more touchdowns en route to first-team all-league, all-CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section, all-region and all-city honors. Hubbard was named offensive player of the year in the city, region and section as a junior as well and earned team MVP honors as a junior and the Larry Berg Leadership Award as a sophomore and senior. The Falcons were 6-5 in 2008 and 9-3 in 2009. Hubbard earned honorable mention all-league honors as a sophomore. He also played basketball and ran track at Fairfield. Hubbard was the starting guard on the Falcons' basketball team which went 25-7 in the 2009-10 season, won the Monticello Empire League title, finished second in the CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section Division II playoffs and reached the second round of the Northern California Regionals. Hubbard earned first-team All-Monticello Empire League honors and Holiday Classic MVP as a senior and was named the team's most inspirational player as a junior. His best marks in track were 21-0 in the long jump and 51.62 in the 400, earning all-league honors in both relays in 2009 and team most inspirational honors in 2008. Hubbard competed in the javelin at the 2003 USA Track and Field Junior Olympics.
Jake Irwin, DL, 6-4, 247, Waunakee, WI (Waunakee HS/University of Wisconsin)
Irwin, a 2010 graduate of Waunakee High School, will be a redshirt sophomore at Cal Poly after transferring from the University of Wisconsin, where he was a redshirt in 2010 and did not play in 2011. He was named Wisconsin's defensive scout team player of the week for the Indiana game in the 2010 season. Under head coach Pat Rice at Waunakee High School, Irwin recorded 55 tackles, 22 of them for lost yardage, and 10 sacks along with one blocked punt, one interception and one fumble return for a touchdown in his senior season (2009), leading the Warriors to a 13-1 record, first-place tie in the Badger North Conference and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Association state Division II championship. A team captain, Irwin was ranked by Scout.com as the No. 103 defensive end in the country and the 11th-best player in Wisconsin according to Rivals.com. In his senior season, Irwin was named Wisconsin State Journal All-Area Player of the Year and named first-team all-area by the Wisconsin State Journal and Capital Times. He also earned first-team Wisconsin Football Coaches Association and Associated Press all-state honors as an offensive lineman. A unanimous two-way first-team Badger All-Conference selection as an offensive tackle and defensive end, Irwin was the Wisconsin Sports Network's inaugural Joe Thomas Award Winner as the state's outstanding senior offensive lineman. He anchored an offensive line that produced two 1,000-yard rushers. Irwin was named first-team all-conference as a junior and honorable mention in the Badger North Conference as a sophomore. He started at right tackle for three seasons and won three letters in both football and wrestling. Irwin was a member of his school's honor roll all four years.
Josh Letuligasenoa, DL, 6-1, 220, Sacramento, CA (Elk Grove HS)
A younger brother of Cal Poly offensive lineman Lefi Letuligasenoa, Josh recorded 109 tackles (58 solo) as a senior under head coach Chris Nixon at Elk Grove High School last fall. Letuligasenoa also notched 1.5 sacks, two pass breakups, a pair of fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles. He recorded double-digit tackles in six games and also caught 11 passes for 178 yards and one touchdown (vs. River City) as a tight end. A team captain, Letuligasenoa led the Thundering Herd to a 12-1 record, Delta Valley League title and a berth in the semifinal round of the CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section Division II playoffs, where Elk Grove lost to Folsom. Letuligasenoa was selected to play in the Holiday Classic All-Star Game in December. As a junior, Letuligasenoa caught five passes for 68 yards and, on defense, made 68 tackles (50 solo), 1.5 sacks and again forced two fumbles and recovered two others. In wrestling last winter, Letuligasenoa finished third in the CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section Championships and posted a 2-2 mark in the state meet at 215 pounds. Last spring he won the Delta Valley League title in the discus (146-11) and placed sixth in the shot put (41-1 3/4).
Carson McMurtrey, WR, 6-3, 188, Folsom, CA (Folsom HS)
In eight games under head coach Kris Richardson at Folsom High School, McMurtrey caught 51 passes for 987 yards and eight touchdowns. He missed several early season contests due to a hamstring injury. McMurtrey caught 12 passes for 224 yards and a touchdown -- a 99-yarder from Tanner Trosin -- in the CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section Division II championship game against Vacaville, won by Vacaville 39-35. McMurtrey also caught nine passes in games against Grant and Elk Grove and caught four passes, all for touchdowns, for 200 yards against Rio Linda. Folsom finished 11-3 overall and second in the Delta River League at 4-1. McMurtrey played in the Holiday Classic all-star game in December 2011. A teammate of Trosin since seventh grade, McMurtrey caught 12 passes for 160 yards and one score as a junior at Folsom. The Bulldogs were 14-1 and state Division II champions in 2010.
B.J. Nard, WR/DB, 6-0, 185, Bakersfield, CA (Frontier HS)
Under head coach Rich Cornford at Frontier High School in Bakersfield, Nard earned All-Area honors twice and All-Southwest Yosemite League accolades three times, including Co-Most Valuable Defensive Player as a senior. Nard, also recruited by Army, was a versatile player in his senior season, rushing for 302 yards and three touchdowns in three late-season games, including runs of 72 and 76 yards, catching 38 passes for 580 yards and three scores, notching 59 total tackles (45 solo) as a defensive back (including 17 against Stockdale), intercepting four passes (two in playoff game against Hoover) and averaging 53.3 yards on four kickoff returns (including a 95-yard return for a touchdown against Bakersfield). Frontier was 5-6 overall but reached the second round of the CIF-Central Section Division II playoffs. As a junior, Nard caught 50 passes for 736 yards and eight touchdowns and earned 83 total tackles (65 solo), including 14 in a playoff game against Lemoore, en route to first-team All-SWYL honors as a wide receiver. In his sophomore season, Nard caught 25 passes for 401 yards and a pair of touchdowns and recorded 52 total tackles (32 solo) and two interceptions (both against Stockdale), earning first-team All-SWYL accolades as a defensive back. Frontier was 11-2 overall in 2009, reaching the semifinals of the CIF-Central Section Division II playoffs. Nard also lettered in track and field, competing in the sprints and high jump, as well as in basketball, averaging 8.8 points and 3.6 rebounds as a sophomore.
Omar Omilabu, OL/DL, 6-2, 235, Martinez, CA (Alhambra HS/Laney College)
Omilabu played two seasons at Laney College, will enroll at Cal Poly in the spring quarter and participate in spring drills. As a sophomore at Laney, Omilabu recorded 41 tackles (27 solo), including 1.5 sacks and 9.0 tackles for lost yardage. He also notched a quarterback hurry and blocked one kick en route to the Elton Reeder Eagle Award. Laney was 2-8 last fall. Omilabu earned 25 total tackles (18 solo), including a sack and 6.0 tackles for lost yardage. Laney was 5-5 in 2010. Omilabu is a 2010 graduate of Alhambra High School in Martinez, where he earned first-team All-Diablo Foothill Athletic League honors as both an offensive and defensive lineman. Under head coach Dave Silveira, Omilabu earned 10 sacks and two pass breakups as he led the Bulldogs to an 11-2 record, Diablo Foothill Athletic League title and a berth in the semifinal round of the CIF-North Coast Section Division III playoffs. Omilabu was a second-team All-East Bay selection as an offensive lineman.
Jason Patterson, DL, 6-1, 252, Santee, CA (Santana HS)
Patterson set a Santana High School record with 17.5 sacks last fall among his 108 total tackles (71 solo) as a senior under head coach Dave Gross. Patterson notched four of the sacks in one game against Kearny and finished the year with two pass breakups, one fumble recovery, three forced fumbles, one blocked punt and two blocked field goals. Patterson helped Santana to an 11-2 overall mark, second place in the Grossmont-Valley League and a runner-up finish in the CIF-San Diego Section Division IV playoffs, losing to Valley Center 20-14 at Qualcomm Stadium. Patterson earned first-team All-Grossmont-Valley League and All-East County (as selected by EastCountySports.com) honors and second-team All-San Diego Section honors as chosen by the San Diego Union-Tribune. Patterson, who also competes on Santana's wrestling team, secured a dozen tackles against both Kearny and Valley Center and was selected to play in the Cal State All-Star Game. As a fullback, he rushed seven times for 77 yards, including a 47-yard touchdown run against Kearny. In his junior season, Patterson notched 47 total tackles (35 solo), including 8.0 sacks, returned an interception 35 yards for a touchdown and also recorded two pass breakups and blocked three field goals en route to first-team all-league and second-team all-east county honors. He was an all-league honorable mention as a sophomore in 2009. Patterson finished his prep career with a school-record 32 sacks.
Kevin Porche, RB, 5-9, 170, Inglewood, CA (Culver City HS)
A versatile football player, Porche passed for 408 yards, rushed for 535 yards and, in his primary position as a wide receiver, caught 48 passes for 526 yards and six touchdowns as a senior under head coach Jahmal Wright at Culver City High School. Porche caught a season-high nine passes against Inglewood and his rushing totals include 17 carries for 148 yards and two scores against Hawthorne. He completed 28 of 46 passes, including three for touchdowns. Porche, a team captain and first-team All-Ocean League selection as a wide receiver, led the Centaurs to a 10-4 overall record, a third-place finish in the Ocean League and to the championship game of the CIF-Southern Section Western Division playoffs against Arroyo Grande, won by Arroyo Grande 42-14. As a junior, Porche caught 38 passes for 488 yards and three scores, rushed 63 times for 336 yards and four more touchdowns and completed all but one of his 29 pass attempts for 476 yards and six touchdowns.
Keishawn Rowe, WR/DB, 6-3, 180, Los Angeles, CA (Salesian HS)
Rowe caught 42 passes for 699 yards and six touchdowns as a senior under head coach Roddy Hiatt at Salesian High School in Los Angeles. His season high for receptions was eight against both Bishop Montgomery and Maranatha. Rowe, who also notched 10 tackles and an interception on defense, helped the Mustangs to a 10-3 overall record, first place in the Santa Fe League and a semifinal-round berth in the CIF-Southern Section Northeast Division playoffs.
Derek Sabo, OL, 6-2, 270, Lakewood, CA (Lakewood HS)
Under head coach Vince Lobendahn at Lakewood High School last fall, Sabo helped the Lancers to a second straight second-place finish in the Moore League and another berth in the CIF-Southern Section Pac 5 Division playoffs. Lakewood was 7-4 last fall, losing to eventual Pac 5 runnerup San Clemente in the first round of the playoffs. Sabo earned first-team All-Moore League and first-team Area Dream Team honors and was named Lakewood's lineman of the year. "He was our only lineman with experience and he showed his skill all year long," said Lobendahn. "He was able to move from guard to tackle and never give up a sack. He led our team in pancakes and many of our run plays were set up by him. He is one of the area's best linemen and a very good student." Sabo received an offer from Washington State and also was recruited by Colorado, among others. He attended the Nike Football Training Camp at USC last April. Sabo also was a starter as a junior when Lakewood went 10-2 and reached the second round of the CIF-Southern Section Pac 5 Division playoffs.
Norman Sadler, CB, 5-10, 170, Carmichael, CA (Del Campo HS)
As a senior under head coach Mike Dimino at Del Campo High School last fall, Sadler earned first-team All-Capital Valley League honors as a defensive back. Sadler also was named to the Sacramento Bee's All-Metro Team as an honorable mention. He was selected to play in the Holiday Classic All-Star Game in December. Sadler helped lead the Cougars to an 8-4 overall record, second-place finish in the Capital Valley League and a berth in the second round of the CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section Division II playoffs.
Billy Shipman, DL, 6-3, 250, Valencia, CA (Valencia HS)
Shipman earned Foothill League Defensive Player of the Year honors as well as a spot on the All-CIF-Southern Section Northern Division Team as a senior under head coach Larry Muir at Valencia High School in Valencia. The Vikings finished 6-5 overall, earned a share of the Foothill League title and qualified for the CIF-Southern Section Northern Division playoffs. Also a starter on the offensive line, Shipman played in the Los Angeles Daily News All-Star Football Game in January and also was selected to play in the Cal Star Prep All-Star Game. On defense, he recorded 43 total tackles (17 solo), including a season-high 10 stops against Chaminade. Shipman notched 10.5 sacks, second best in the Foothill League, and returned an interception 70 yards for a touchdown against Notre Dame. He also recovered three fumbles and forced another. Other honors include All-Los Angeles Daily News and All-Santa Clarita Valley. Shipman also was recruited by Eastern Washington, UC Davis, Northern Arizona, Cornell and Southeast Missouri State. As a junior in 2010, Shipman earned five sacks among his 28 total tackles en route to second-team All-Foothill League honors. The Vikings were 11-2 in 2010, winning the Foothill League championship and reaching the semifinals of the CIF-Southern Section Northern Division playoffs. Billy's sister, Madison, is a sophomore softball player at Tennessee and was a member of the 2010-11 USA Softball Junior Women's National Team.
Elias Stokes, WR/S, 5-11, 165, Paso Robles, CA (Paso Robles HS)
Stokes had a brilliant junior season under head coach Rich Schimke at Paso Robles High School in 2010, finishing with 61 catches for 1,001 yards and 17 touchdowns, 35 carries for 246 yards and seven scores and 22 kickoff returns for 708 yards, averaging 32.2 yards per return en route to San Luis Obispo County Player of the Year honors as selected by the San Luis Obispo County Tribune. He also was named most valuable player of the Pac 7 League as well as for the Bearcats. Stokes returned kickoffs 80, 85, 87 and 95 yards for touchdowns in 2010 and finished with 28 total touchdowns. Twice he caught eight passes in a game and also caught five passes for 165 yards and four touchdowns against San Luis Obispo. The 2010 Bearcats finished 10-3 overall, going undefeated in the PAC 7 for their first outright league championship since 2005, and advanced to the CIF-Southern Section Western Division semifinals, losing to eventual champion Serra. Other honors for Stokes include All-CIF-Southern Section Western Division Team and Cal-Hi Sports All-State Underclass Second Team. Stokes played numerous positions as a senior on a 3-7 Bearcat team, rushing 28 times for 122 yards, catching 26 passes for 342 yards and three scores (including nine catches against St. Joseph), punting 18 times for a 30.3 average, returning four punts for a 7.0 average and 10 kickoffs for a 21.8 average. He also completed 24 of 42 passes for 350 yards and three touchdowns in three games as a quarterback and was named to the All-San Luis Obispo County first team as a wide receiver and to the ESPN Rise first team as a multi-purpose player. A three-year varsity letter winner, Stokes caught 31 passes for 301 yards and three touchdowns as a sophomore en route to team most valuable wide receiver, first-team All-Pac 7 League and second-team All-San Luis Obispo County honors. He also plays baseball for the Bearcats, hitting .303 with four doubles, 11 RBI and 14 stolen bases as a junior in 2011. Stokes is a four-time Honor Roll member with a 3.8 grade-point average and has taken Advanced Placement classes in calculus, statistics, economics and government.
Tanner Trosin, QB, 6-1, 175, Folsom, CA (Folsom HS)
Trosin made the most of his one season as starting quarterback under head coach Kris Richardson at Folsom High School, shattering school, section and state records by completing 360 of 527 passes (68 percent) for 5,185 yards and 49 touchdowns with 17 interceptions en route to Max Preps State Division II Player of the Year honors. He finished No. 3 in the nation in passer ratings and No. 1 in California. Four of his games exceeded the 400-yard mark in passing, including a Northern California record 601-yard performance in a 49-46 victory against Deer Valley when he completed 34 of 49 passes, and he produced seven other 300-yard passing games. Trosin also surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in rushing, accumulating 1,179 yards on 215 carries and scoring 20 touchdowns. His totals include five games over the 100-yard mark, including a season-best 167 yards against Jesuit. Trosin's state record 6,364 yards in total offense was No. 2 in the nation and No. 1 in the state, and his 69 total touchdowns are the second most in state history, behind only fellow Bulldog Dano Graves' 85 in 2010. Folsom posted an 11-3 overall record, finished second in the Delta River League at 4-1 and reached the championship game of the CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section Division II playoffs against Vacaville, won by Vacaville 39-35. Trosin passed for 407 yards and four touchdowns, completing 25 of 41 passes, and rushed for 101 yards and another score in the title game. Trosin played in the Holiday Classic all-star game in December 2011. His postseason honors include MaxPreps Medium Schools All-American Second Team presented by the U.S. Air Force, All-CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section All-American Offensive Player of the Year as chosen by Max Preps, Co-Most Valuable Player of the Delta River League and Sacramento Bee All-Metro Offensive Player of the Year. As a junior, Trosin was a starter at defensive back and backed up quarterback Dano Graves (now at Air Force). He made 35 tackle (27 solo) and intercepted two passes, returning one 80 yards for a touchdown, and on offense rushed for 219 yards and three scores, completed 14 of 19 passes for 233 yards and two more touchdowns and caught nine passes for 69 yards and a pair of scores. Trosin's father, Tony Trosin, quarterbacked Sacramento State to its last FCS playoff berth in 1988 and his brother, Tyler, is on scholarship at Oregon State as a wide receiver.
Miles Williams, OL, 6-2, 245, Anaheim, CA (Servite HS)
Williams helped Servite under head coach Troy Thomas to a combined 24-3 record in two varsity seasons, including a pair of Trinity League titles and berths in the CIF-Southern Section Pac 5 Division playoffs. Servite captured the CIF-SS Pac 5 title in 2010 and lost to De La Salle in the state playoffs, finishing 14-1, while the 2011 squad reached the second round of the CIF-SS Pac 5 playoffs en route to a 10-2 mark. Williams joins former Servite players Chris Nicholls, Karlton Dennis and Bijon Samoodi on the Mustang roster. Williams was a first-team All-Trinity League offensive lineman in 2011 and earned second-team all-league honors in 2010.
In January, Cal Poly announced the signing of College of San Mateo defensive lineman Barrett Wangara during the Midyear JC Transfer period for football.
