Keith Pough, who has been named to several All America teams this year, finished seventh in the running for the Buck Buchanan Award while Greg McGhee, who was named the Rookie of the Year, finished tied for 10th in the voting for the Inaugural Jerry Rice Award. Howard Coach Gary “Flea” Harrell finished 17th in the voting for the Eddie Robinson Award.
