Grambling QB Kendrick Nord goes head to head with Alcorn QB Steve McNair in his senior year. This is one of my all time favorite games. I believe it was one of the best games in terms of excitement and maybe biggest (non homecoming) crowds in Robinson stadium history.

Any highlights from the McNair game in Huntsville? A crowd of 16,148 (the largest crowd ever to witness a sports event in Huntsville) watches along with an ABC regional television audience as Sam Houston State defeats 14th-ranked Alcorn State (and their NFL-bound quarterback Steve McNair) at Bowers Stadium 48-23.

ABC regionally televised the game. That was before all the CSTVs and ESPNU's of the world. Incredible for a I-AA game! :)

I'd love to get my hands on footage of the Texas Southern vs. Alcorn game when Strahan and Co. was celebrating from what they thought they knocked Steve out of the game only to come back into the game and lead the "Corn" from behind and beat us.

Nord had a canon for an arm! I personally saw him loft it 60+ yds in the air w/ no effort whatsoever in the SFC. It wouldn't surprise me if he could do the 100 yd deal. I've seen Mr. Bishop(ksu) do it as well as Jay Hess (aTm) loft it (true athletes).

1994 Ken Nord threw 4 touchdown passes in the Bayou Classic one to one of his recievers, one to an SU DB, an two to an SU linebacker

I think Southern named him MVP lol.

Looking @ the QB from Southern reminded me of me back in the gap. :thumbsup: The QB posiition in the wishbone O is a VERY demanding one. One must be intelligent, athletic, and quick on one's judgement in order to run the quadruple option to perfection! True line-em-up smash mouth football! Game won in the trenches! Gotta' love it.
