DL coach Dave Sollazzo is joining staff at UMass. Sollazzo was originally from maryland. Is that TWO key departures for nova??

Nova will be irrelevant again this year - still too young- they're looking at least till 2013 till they can challenge again - just poor recruiting a couple years in a row is costing this team.

You HOPE the Cats will be irrelevant. There is a lot of young talent in the program, some which you (or most fans) haven't even seen. The Cats will be much more of their normal selves in 2012 than you care to know.

They'll be a team around .500. Still don't have a QB and still don't have a really dynamic player who can run out of the wildcat. And what is "normal"? They did have a stretch not so long ago (right before they found Szczur) where they missed the playoffs 9 out of 10 years. If there's young talent there who didn't play this year, then even next year they'll just be redshirt freshmen. You don't see many teams in the CAA winning with freshmen, redshirt or otherwise, in too many positions on the field.

Losing a lot of brainpower on the defensive side of the ball, having their BCS dreams crushed this past year, and toiling through a 2 win season aren't great things for anyone. Sure they'll probably be better than 2-9, it's hard to be that bad. But .500 would seem to be a good target, especially in a conference where Towson, ODU, JMU, UD, W&M, and UNH will all be at least just as good if not better next year than they were this year.

Of course, that happened to be the time we had them for most of our contract from 2005-2010...smh.

It's too bad really,
They very likely will have a hard time getting to .500
But if they do creep over .500 Coach Andy will be able to share with us how terrible every other conference is
(He seems to have a lot less to say about everybody else when his team is playing .250 ball)

Funny, then, if Villanova then has a 6-5 record and a win over Delaware, you'll be first on board, along with K.C., in saying that the WIldcats deserve an at-large playoff spot? xlolx
