The veer is a triple option formation? Along with the wishbone and flexbone. GSU runs about 50% of its plays from the flexbone formation but never the veer/wishbone formation. They actually run some plays out of the pistol which I like to call the flexpistol... get it? Yeah, I'm probably the only one that thinks that's funny.

Yeah, wrong choice of words by me. I'm mainly referring to the wishbone/flexbone difference. Using the wishbone like NDSU did the offense has a strong side with a TE on the line whereas the GSU flexbone is balanced. I don't consider myself a great coaching mind by any stretch but that makes defending the two different IMO.

For example. I have 2 things, I can't for the life of be grow a beard so that is out but I haven't gotten a much needed hair cut in months and I won't until the end of the season.

The second one is the silliest thing in the world but the flag on my house in my avatar was given to me by my wife for my birthday earlier this year with the condition that I only fly it on the weekends (she is a proud NDSU alum as well but thinks there are limits). I agreed to take it down when the weekend is over. The only time I didn't take it down for the week? Youngstown. Sorry, my fault.

So without any cracks about "boy you better make an appointment for Sunday" or dumb **** like that. What say you?

Whatever happens tomorrow this has been a fun week. I wish I could have made it to Fargo but I have enjoyed reading some of the banter back and forth this week. Both fan bases are passionate about their school. From a GSU perspective it is good to play a team with a following who care about football.

Bama was giving up avg of 6.5 points going into our game IIRC. I know we lost, but just because you have been going something on defense all year long doesn't mean anything when you play us.

That being said, I don't think we beat y'all by 17. That seems a bit much.

We've had better offensive teams but our defense and special teams have never been as good.

Montana's defense relies on blitzing to get pressure....not a good scheme to play vs an option team. Need to be able to get pressure with the front four.....their DL is nowhere to be found.
