I posted a couple of these on here a couple of years ago but I've made a new one or two since then and since it's playoff time, I thought I'd post them again.

How many FCS Champions can you name?

How many Walter Payton Award winners can you name?

How many SoCon Champions can you name?

http://www.sporcle.com/games/asucrutch23/soconchamps

How many D-1 schools with feline nicknames can you name? This one isn't just FCS related, but there are many FCS teams (I think over half) on here as well.

I know, I know! I am quite ashamed. I got y'all for 2001 but I must have mixed you up in that Marshall/Youngstown run from '91-'97. Looking back on it is pretty amazing, your title in '95 was the only one not taken by Marshall/YSU during those seven years.

Oh well, live and learn.

Me too. My discovery of Sporcle led to decreased productivity (but increased useless knowledge) in my last couple years at App xlolx

I surprised myself and got 2004 through last year correct on the champs.

...on second thought I should have started throwing Georgia Southern and Yougstown around in random spots. xlolx

24 right on the FCS champs list, not bad considering NDSU just joined not too long ago and a few of those games happened before I was even born.

And which SoCon school won nine of the first 13 titles? Anyone?

They forgot football after hosting the 1942 Rose Bowl.

I was able to get a lot of the NC ones just by remembering posters signatures on here. That and when all else failed just guessing schools I knew won some back before I was born, like GSU, EKU, and YSU. Ended up 28/33, I can live with that.

This is how we tend to pass time in the lounge here at Nova. Made some great friends working on some of the baseball ones.

That same school also won six of the first ten ACC titles, too.

I know. It's just that friends don't let friends go to Duke ... I mean, UNJ-Durham.

Can't say I've made friends playing Sporcle, but I can tell you the Presidents in order as well as all 196 countries! :D

It's too bad there aren't more FCS related quizzes. I think I've made over half the ones on there! xlolx

32/33 champions. Couldn't get 1978. It also accepted Louisiania-Monroe, which helped

Not sure how I didn't connect Alcorn State and Steve McNair xlolx

Couldn't remember the first name for Jamie Martin or the spelling for Doug Nussmeier either

Yeah I figured I'd give people a break if they knew the current or former name. I also accepted most if not all abbreviations.

Hint: First names aren't needed. Last names suffice on most Sporcle games.xthumbsupx

39/51 on the feline nickname quiz.

This is one of the best scores I've seen on that quiz. That one really makes you think. Gotta know your cats and your D-1 conferences. Helps to know your US geography too if you like to think of schools that way as opposed to conference affiliation. Every now and then I'll go back and take my own quiz and I don't know that I've done much better than 39 on that one.
