How does a 1-10 Nicholls team gets four?!?!?

This is how ridiculously awful the coaches poll is. Liberty and Stony Brook play a very similar schedule. Stony wins the head to head and finishes with a better record and more impressive in-conference games, and yet Liberty is still above them.

U of North Dakota with 3 DII wins on their resume is ranked higher than playoff bound Norfolk State and UNI ranked above NDSU after losing the head to head and barely squeaking out a 2OT win against ISUr. unbelievable.

Stony Brook is ranked 24th...You have South Dakota in there twice.

Well, Norfolk State is ranked 22nd, which counts for four points. But we all know the coaches never make that kind of mistake, so I have no explanation.

Uni went back in time and got another win.

Also, 5-3 und is ranked way above its fellow co-champs who beat both und and usd.

Was about to post the same thing. Awful.

Liberty didn't make it and SB did. The coaches poll is terrible.

Final Joke is more like it! Thank God that will be the last dribble coming from the coaches.

Is there even a coach who fills one of these out...
aren't these passed off to the assistants and largely regarded as a joke..?

But yet you say nothing about South Dakota and SUU getting more votes than Cal Poly.

The meaning (at least for usd) was intended in the second sentence but apparantly never conveyed.

Lehigh finishes sixth, the second place PL team gets not one vote.

Yes, these are done primarily by the school's SID's - but they're still done under the coaches' name.

I've linked this in the past, but just in case anyone missed it, here are the coaches who "vote" on this laughable poll (although I will say that this isn't the worst poll they've done this season, but that's a very low benchmark):
