While some of you concern yourselves with things like playoffs and winning games, UR has turned the page on what was a forgettable and frustrating season. We did a great job with floundering at the end and losing close games - New Hampshire (45-43), Towson (31-28), Maine (23-22) and William & Mary (25-23).

Our AD has released some info on the process, our 3rd search since the end of the 2007 season.

With the completion of the season, a national search is underway. Wayne Lineburg, who was named interim head coach August 23, is a candidate for the position.

One guy whose name will undoubtedly be thrown around for all the Northeast/Mid Atlantic coaching vacancies (e.g. Richmond, Fordham, UMass, etc..) is Pete Rossamondo (current HC at New Haven).

He's a Bob Ford product and rebuilt that New Haven program from the ground up and back to national DII prominence in a matter of a few years.

New Haven's only loss this year is a 3 point loss at William & Mary.

Rossamondo is a no-nonsense old school head coach. I am hopeful that he would take over for Bob Ford when Ford retires, but I don't think Rossamondo will be on the market long enough.

UMass fired their coach today.

Add Columbia to that list. They can pay top dollar if they want, plus the Head Coaching position is endowed.
