Crowded competition for the starting QB spot this August. This kid played in HS for HU's new offensive coordinator. He benefitted in high school from having the best receiving corps in the country.

Taylor also said Friday that he does not expect defensive end/linebacker Micah Littlejohn of Hampton to meet the academic requirements to play his final season. Littlejohn sat out his first year as a Prop 48 in 2002 and is required to meet 80 percent of his graduation requirements to earn a fourth season of eligibility.

Littlejohn started three seasons for the Pirates, two at defensive end and one at outside linebacker. In 2004 he was selected to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference first team and to the Sheridan Broadcasting Network Black College All-American team.

Littlejohn helped Phoebus High win the 2001 Division 5 state title. He was selected as the Daily Press Defensive Player of the Year that season.

-I hope he can pull through and make the grade for Hampton. They need him up front.

This REALLY hurts us, and more impotantly, it hurts Micah.

Sorry to see this happen to the young man... hopefully, he can appeal it and get it straightened out (after the opener).

As a WVU fan and Alum, I can say that this kid is gonna be good for Hampton. He tore it up in the spring game this year for us. He unfortunately was a victim of numbers. T.J. has the talent, but so did the other kids in front of him, and unfortunately they are young players too with more time and experience in the system. Him leaving was in no way an indictment on his ability to play.
