At Iowa the marching band used to show up about half way through our two a days. They had the field right next to us and who ever put them through there paces worked them to death marching. They would stop and somebody would run around with a measuring stick to make sure they were spaced correctly. Now remember that the temps were in the high 90s to 100 with humidity so there would always be some band members who would pass out.

When that happened somebody would always yell out "another one bites the dust" at which time the band would give us a dirty look.
