Going with the upset in the one, SELU over JMU.

My first instinct was to pick SLU in this one. The Lions can score with anyone...but can they stop JMU? This could very well be the upset of the weekend.

I have a funny feeling this could end up being like the Monmouth game in 2019 or the South Dakota State game a few years before that.

But I picked FAMU (more of a heart over head pick) to beat SELA so I've already been proven way, way wrong already...

JMU thrives on explosive TDs from outside the red zone. If SELA limits those it will be close. If they don't, I expect JMU's defense to find a few more turnovers to tip the scale than SELA's.

If I were betting, I actually would take the under if that 71 number holds. Both teams will be looking to shorten the game.

Earlier in the season SLU may have been able to stay close and even win with a 2 or 3 advantage in turnovers. But JMU has hit their playoff stride and I don't think this one will be close. During the Mike Houston/ Curt Cignetti era JMU has a history of winning playoff games by huge margins in Harrisonburg against teams coming off high scoring Round 1 or 2 playoff performances.

I really like to watch Southeastern Louisiana and the Air Raid passing game they will bring to James Madison, Cole Kelly is fun to watch but I think it’s all gonna come to an end this Saturday. They just wont be able to keep up with JMU. Not to mention JMU can play some defense, Besides you are more likely to see the Boggy Creek swamp legend than any defense in Southland country. JMU should be rolling it up by the 4th quarter. Streamers will fly, hotty cheerleaders will cry. If SLU can somehow keep it close and win, no tears will be shed for departing Doggie Doos of Harrisonburg. Enjoy the Beef O’ Brady Bowl

Outside of the KSU game, this is the fcs playoff game i am most looking forward to. I think SLU could make this a close one.
