Lamar got $7.5 million in donations in two years as by law 25% of the funding of the complex had to come by private donations. Lamar will use bonds, fees and etc to pay for the rest of the $30 million price tag.

I'm pretty sure if UTSA were under the gun, the way you guys were, we'd make up the seven and half mil up in two years too. Either way, its good to hear that southeast Texas will once again represent in the SLC. There's plenty of talent in the area that needs to stay in Texas.

The local media have been...the school's athletic department until the last month or so, had not. It's a nice change of pace and one I'm willing to take credit for after blasting them several times!

An online presence should be the school's first line of defense...

Agree if UTSA wasn't playing in the Alamodome and you needed the donations for a football complex you probably wouldn't have difficulty raising the money. Didn't mean to imply you couldn't. If I did I hope this post clears up my opinion.

Well, if you read Rush Wood's bio he wasn't hired until August 2009. I believe Bearkat 41 was already gone from the athletic department.

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA officials announced Wednesday that they have agreed to a three-game series with Oklahoma State. The Roadrunners and Cowboys will meet on Sept. 7, 2013, at the Alamodome and on Sept. 13, 2014, and Sept. 19, 2015, in Stillwater, Okla.
