Exclamation AGS Going Green! Donation Drive 2009-10

    Going Green for AGS

Everyone has a favorite environment in which they thrive. For those of us who live in the world of FCS football, our environment is in constant jeopardy of being smothered in the football universe by smog emitted by the FBS and NFL. We have to work at finding and making a place where we can come together to share our joys and miseries as fans of FCS football.

AGS is the home planet in this huge universe of football that provides the outlet for us in FCS land to thrive. But such a small planet needs to receive care to survive. Unlike the ongoing battle we see and hear about concerning our earthly planet's environment and the need to "go green"; the effort required to keep AGS 'green' is not herculean. The effort requires only some modest watering to keep our football home 'green'.

As we begin the 2009 season, let us all make an effort to assist in the needed maintenance and upgrades our 'planet' requires. As a take-off from an old Woody Allen movie, let us all go "Looking for Mr. Greenbar" and make a contribution to AGS to maintain and improve our football environment, free from the pollution of commercial ads. When you donate $20, you will receive a green donor badge on your avatar: the true sign that you care about saving AGS for the future.

With our number of members, if everyone gave just a modest contribution, we can rest assured that our globe is protected for an entire year. People can earmark their contribution to be allocated toward a specific school or conference. This will allow that organization's fans to sponsor a particular month of the year. Once the required minimum for sponsorship of $265 is reached, that schools/conference fans can then select the month they want. First come, first served.

So let us all 'Go Green' for AGS, and here's to a great 2009, where everyone's dreams end in Chattanooga!!

To donate, please find the link at the bottom of each page and make sure to designate your specific school or conference

We have received several communications regarding reports on when fans of schools and conferences can be notified that their school is in reach of securing a month.

The BOD's goal is to provide updates on a weekly basis. If a school secures the $265 sometime in between those updates, we will notify that school and the donors will then get to decide which month they would prefer.

Thanks to all who have contributed thus far. It's nice to see all the green bars sprouting up as we 'GO GREEN' here on AGS.

Please make sure to designate who you'd like to earmark your donation for as it assists us in declaring months for your favorite school!

I could only donate $10 this month. Maybe more next month. I donated in the name of the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

Be careful for what you wish for because you just might GET it.
