* Hate domes - played in ETSU’s once. It was stupid.

* There’s no mention of “Furman not wanting…” whatever that’s supposed to mean. The final comment in the post you quoted which FUBeAR thinks, perhaps, you are referencing with this comment has nothing to do with Furman or Montana or this game or this season. It is an overarching opinion FUBeAR has held for years.

* “Both Teams play in the same weather …” - sure and it sux for the Student Athletes on both Teams and for the FCS Brand. And, also, while the statement is true, it does not tell the whole story. Let’s say we have an Indoor Volleyball Team and that Team has played all of their games on a wooden court…and now goes into the Playoffs, but…surprise, they are playing 1 game against a Beach Volleyball Team on sand to determine if they advance. Both Teams, as you stated, are ‘playing in the same conditions’ - on sand. But, no one would ever seriously posit that the Beach Volleyball Team didn’t have a significant advantage over the Indoor Team. This is not entirely dissimilar to Teams from the South playing in the frigid and/or inclement weather that can prevail in the Upper MW & the PacNW in December against Teams that play and ‘live’ in such weather. It’s not good Football weather for anyone. It may have been fine when the Packers faced the Bears in ‘63, but Football is a different game now. Final analogy…it’s like holding an Olympic Swimming Event in a wave pool. That would never happen. It would be stupid. So is playing modern Football in likely blizzards and likely temps in the Teens or lower.
and what about the band playing in the cold???? Whose band will play better in the cold??
