Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year … First Team All-Southland Conference … All-Texas Small College Offense selection by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine … started all 12 games on the Bearkat defensive line … finished with 41 tackles an ranked seventh in the SLC with 15.5 TFLs … also totaled 5.0 sacks and had a pair of forced fumbles … had at least one TFL in nine of 12 games on the year … had season-high 2.5 TFLs in wins over Oklahoma Panhandle State (9/7) and UIW (9/21) … had two sacks and a forced fumble that was recovered for a Bearkat touchdown vs OPSU … had a season-high seven stops against UIW … had a sack apiece in games vs Northwestern State (11/16) and Lamar (10/12) … also had two TFLs and a forced fumble against the Demons … averaged 1.3 tackles for loss per game for the year, which ranked 35th in all of FCS.
