Saw this as well. Don't see the NCAA granting him a hardship, but if they do I'm sure he will be in high demand.

We'll see if the NCAA accepts this rather liberal interpretation of 1/3 of a school's games rule. Would think that is predicated on the # of regular season contests, not projecting a school's qualification for post-season play.

I don't even like the whole 4 game RS rule to begin with ... though I dislike it less for FCS given the 20 less schollies than FBS issue. But it would be hard to believe NCAA would compromise further on this front ... idea that the 4 game rule would become a % of total games played including playoffs ... bit of a stretch as far as setting precedence goes. What are the rounding rules .... 5/4 method ??????

Another factor in getting granted a 6th year medical hardship is that you need to have lost two seasons due to "circumstances beyond your control". That does not include a typical redshirt. He obviously played a lot in '16 and '17 and it looks like in '15 he held for kicks so he appeared in every game that year. So he'd also have to contend that he was redshirted in 2014 due to "circumstances beyond his control" and not just because the coaches wanted to develop him.
