It's earlier in the thread, I think. Hamilton gets a bit more snow, Fargo is a bit colder.

Looks like the Colgate football team has arrived in Fargo...Here they are as they are arriving, being welcomed to their Yurts by the Colgate faithful.

I donít think that will be the case. They wonít need him to run until the Semifinal. Bruce, Lance, Seth, Ty up the middle over and over

Colgate actually puts up a pretty good fight in the battle of who's winter sucks more. This battle will likely prove to be more competitive than the one that takes place on the field.

    Annual Snowfall
    Hamilton, NY 86 inches
    Fargo, ND 50 inches

    Average Annual High Temp
Norwich, NY (closest available data to Hamilton) 57.5 degrees
    Fargo, ND 52.5

    January Average High/Low
    Hamilton, NY 29/12
    Fargo, ND 18/0

    All-Time Low Temp
    Hamilton, NY -35 (January 1957)
    Fargo, ND -38 (January 1982)

IMO, SDSU is the only team that can beat the Bison this year. They are solid on both sides of the ball. Like you said...familiarity.

    You get your tickets yet?
Unfortunately I cannot make it this week as the kids have activities down here and then Monster Jam that night.

I will be there for the semifinal and title games however.

That was my point....its one of the few times Fargo has some competition in the "****ty" weather competition.

The one thing that really sucks about winter in parts of the Northeast is the number of cloudy days. You can literally go a couple of weeks without seeing sunshine and blue sky but for a few minutes here and there. It definitely has a psychological effect on people. My experience growing up in mountainous/snowy Northeast PA definitely prepared me for winters in Montana. And to think, I nearly moved to Grand Forks for a bit.
