A few thoughts:

• I think we're sleeping on Samford. They've won 4 straight and just beat #17 Wofford pretty handily. I think they should be the highest ranked SOCON team right now.
• Pretty rough treatment for Illinois St dropping 700+ points and 12 spots. I realize they're on a 3 game losing streak but how many other teams ranked in that 20-25 range would you expect to do any better with a 3 game stretch of at #1 NDSU, vs #6 SDSU, and at #18 UNI?
• The relative placement of Towson and Stony Brook is a little strange. Stony Brook's best win is against #28 URI and they lost to Towon by 24. Both teams are 6-3 (4-2) in the CAA yet Stony Brook is ranked 4 spots in front of Towson. Again I think Towson is getting punished for a 2 game losing streak when that 2 game stretch (at #8 Delaware and vs #13 Maine - both one score games btw) would've been pretty tough for anyone.

I think that voters got the placement of Delaware, JMU, Maine and Towson just about right. Elon & Stony Brook are too high. I would have placed Delaware ahead of Elon. And Stony Brook would be behind Maine & Towson. Great overall poll as usual though!

That gap between JSU and SEMO is huge. If anything, it should be flipped. Not sure how anyone can justify ranking JSU over SEMO, let alone by 8 spots.

I just don't like those Yale and W&M losses. In retrospect I probably should've been a little tougher on Stony Brook and put Maine in front of them but as for right now I'm comfortable with still putting Towson in front of Maine. If you want to call that "hate" so be it.

I would 100% agree with you PC. It is the total resume and not just a head to head to prove where teams should be ranked. The Yale and W&M losses are BAD.
