Understood. Hes been working out like a beast this past offseason and hes now in the 230-240 range. I think hell max out next year around 245 max.

You do understand that it is common practice to list "0" Int for QB whenever passes completed and TD's are listed, don't you?

However, it has NEVER been a common practice at any place or time to list "0 TFL or 0 INT" for defensive players

and the reason for its is that "0" is negative for a defensive player and positive for the QB

The "0" Int for QB is one of the single most important stats that can be pointed out for a QB, particularly when almost half the season has already been completed

The fact that a QB hasn't thrown an INT after 4 or 5 games starts to get impressive and gets even more so as the season progresses. A defensive player not getting an INT in a season may not be a huge deal depending on where they play and what their other stats are...a QB not throwing an INT in a season is a pretty huge deal.
    Excellent comments

    thanks

In this case, out of the 20 QB's listed, only 2 have not thrown an Interception. And these are supposedly the best QB's in all of FCS football.

I felt redundant to say "0 INT" when he does not have any. I don't want to waste letters and time when it is not needed to be typed. I feel like it is common sense to know he has not thrown a pick when I don't list any there.

Maybe for others but I have never done it. I always left it off for QBs when they didn't have any picks. A long time ago I adopted the practice to just not list at all if it was zero. I will not change that now. Until he throws a pick I will leave it off. It is common sense to know he did not throw any if I continually don't list any and nobody says he has thrown one.

It is funny about this big deal now because it means nothing right now. If he has zero or less than 3 or so when the season is over then that is really impressive but he could throw 5 picks over next 3 games and then finish with say 8-9 and then it would just be solid and not that impressive. Let's just see how it goes. It would really be something if he were to go all year without a pick and if he does and Princeton is undefeated then he could easily finish in the top 5 for the Payton Award.

    Not a Big deal?

You might look at the significant effect that interceptions have on the quarterback ratings.

I just stated that only 2 of the 20 QB's listed have ZERO interceptions

My guess is that there are less than 6 of the 125 or so starting QB's in the FCS that have ZERO interceptions

I would say that THIS is a big deal

    regarding the top 10?

you really meant top 3, didn't you?

At this pace Princeton's Lovett might finish with over 2,500 yards passing, over 1,000 yards rushing at over 9.0 yards/carry and over 40 TD's with NO interceptions

    That is top 3 material

I actually meant to write top 5 but did not mean top 3. No picks is a huge deal but so tough to do that let's see if he does it and stays under 5-6 total for the year before we start debating it. What he has done now is phenomenal though for sure but against a conference that isn't top 5 in FCS.

Lovett is very good but I'm not ready to put him in the top 3 unless he can dominate like he did last week against every team and then I would consider it. It is just way too early to project that right now.
