It looks like Chuck South and El Cid won't be playing, at least not in Charleston.
A bit premature. Another day is in order. But I suppose that is what they figure folks will do any way. I've seen too many of things change direction to get too antsy.

Lumberton is out of bottled water so I bought a 10 gallon dispenser at Lowes.

I don't know why people buy milk which will go bad if the power goes out. Water stations inland should have back-up generators (near the coast, the pumping stations could flood). The whole bread, milk, and water thing is a southern tradition, especially if a flake of snow is seen.
I stick to the essentials: beer, gin, and potato chips.
Plenty of beer, steaks, water, and fresh veggies at the house...we have a natural gas grill & stove as well as a 25k gallon pool so we'll be fine.

    Re: Hurricane Florence

onway, S.C. – In response to the impending arrival of Hurricane Florence, the Coastal Carolina home football game versus Campbell originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 15, in Conway, S.C., has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 2 p.m. ET at Barker-Lane Stadium in Buies Creek, N.C.

"Given the close proximity of our campuses and based on current available information regarding the storm, there was mutual interest in playing the game on Wednesday," said CCU Director of Athletics Matt Hogue. "Our team planned to relocate until the passing of the storm regardless, so moving the game to Buies Creek worked with that plan. The safety of our student-athletes, fans and event staff are of the utmost concern to Coastal Carolina University

Chlorinated pool water is quite drinkable. He could also have a salt-water pool which is also drinkable, but a little salty (salt water pool systems are nowhere near the salinity of the ocean).

Salt water. That way we don't use the drinking water for anything else like showers or flushing toilets.

I get the saltwater, you can boil it either way if you want.

I'm struggling to believe you on the chlorine.

"Friday Night Lights" had an episode where they played a game in a cow pasture because Dillon was damaged by a tornado (or some other disaster).
