FCS Draft Picks by school since 2010

off topic: it was truly an honor to be at the game mentioned at the top of the article. my greatest football memory.

I was at the following game.

This kinda surprised me. NDSU has had great success in the FCS in this decade but they have done it as a team overall but have had some really talented players YEARLY winning Nattys! UCA, only FCS post season eligible since 2010, has had a good W/L record but struggled when it came to the playoffs...yet both teams have had 4 players drafted. That's strange to see. I thought NDSU would have had more drafted by far than UCA. This confirms my thoughts that they win because they play as a team...

Very good observation. On the FCS level, it is very rare to see that one player that truly takes over the game (thinking about RG3 at Baylor-esque type of performance). We see players have breakout games, but I really don't see those that are consistently (week in and week out) the entire production of a team....and if we do, those team end up wearing out that kid as the season goes on. NDSU has a ton of talent, but so do plenty of other teams at our level, they just have figured out a better way to use that talent!!!

I think you are right. Our drafted players were very much stand-out, go to, players week in and week out at the DII level. I can see the differences between our DII days and now that we are FCS and have to rely on more depth and spread out talent team wide.

I understand why The Wildcats were not listed since we were not Officially in FCS at the time. This post is simply to brag a bit about our history.

The Ivy League had two draft picks this year:

• Justin Watson, WR, Univeristy of Pennsylvania, 144th overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

• Foye Oluokun, LB, Yale, 200th overall pick by the Atlanta Falcons.

Crockett was a PFA all day. He listened to some wrong folks and just wasn't quite fast enough to guarantee he gets drafted. I liked Smith and while I would not have drafted him I thought he was a really good PFA. Both players were really good PFAs.

I don't think you guys have had anyone not get drafted who was a definite pick except this year DeLuca could be that guy who had injuries knock him out.

I think Zack Johnson would have played his way into that conversation had he not injured himself early in Shrine Game practices

I never understood why Christian Dudzik never even got a look. 4.33 40 on a 4 year starter at two positions
