Here's a breakdown of some of the data by STATS: http://www.fcs.football/cfb/story.as...ec&tm=&src=FCS

And here's the top FCS teams and conference ranking:

JMU accounted for 29% of the CAA's attendance this past season. The 3 playoff game attendance #s dropped their average over 3K per game. Regular season attendance average was 24,841 (36 shy of official capacity).

Now I am always skeptical of announced attendance #s because they almost always include tickets sold/given away whether scanned or not on gameday vs. actual butts in seats, but given the presented data, 30% from one school in a 12-team league...

Tends to happen with good teams that get more home games because of the playoffs. Take away the extra ~46k then and your sitting around 23%

Numbers are funny that way; our home playoff attendance was high for us historically, but well below the season average. Had we drawn to our regular season average the % jumps to nearly 32% of total CAA attendance. We should lead the conference given stadium capacity relative to the rest of the league (25K vs. 11.3K average).

Which accountant gets the job? The one in who, in the interview, answers the question "what's 2+2 equal?" with "what would you like it to be?"

I count 8,446 as PVs average home attendance. Y'all fudging numbers out there?

Looks like our number is sadly correct. Yes, we drew total for all of 2017 roughly what Montana's home average was.

Congratulations on getting so many people to show up to watch an inferior product. Funny how they never bother to make it to the BOTPW though...

    Thanks Serpentor!

Just imagine if we actually started winning on a regular basis where our numbers might be.

You should also see our basketball attendance as well, compared to the other SLC schools.

Nope just looked it up for the 2009 SLC championship season, averaged 11,111 a game back then as well.

Just better fan support I guess.

We have actually improved the last two years.

Even without hosting the Harvard-Yale game, and with a mediocre team, Harvard still averaged above 10,000. Not bad, especially in this era.

That is too bad. It is not like you guys were terrible either. Solid top 15 team should draw better.
