It boils down to timing . Should he stay another year, which looks like 5-6 or 6-5 next year at this point, he won't have much to show for 4 years . Should he leave now, he still has a National Runnerup and one losing and one average season. Somewhat marketable. The risk, with as thin as they are and with little to build on with 3 straight stinker classes, it's a roll of the dice. As with this season, if juries hit just a couple of key places, a major losing season is possible, say 3-4 wins with two weenie games and an Indiana St/Mo. St. Games as well. Current staff is getting out of Dodge before a roll of the dice. Current Coaches National Convention may produce more surprises. Even if they count on incoming good class of Frosh plus transfers and Jucos, it's still young and vulnerable. And still a wild card how administration feels about the mess he created recruiting the rapist. Always a party with Bozo around.

    You're underestimating Bo's want to **** Nebraska.

That's why he took YSU to begin with and why he took it at such a low rate.

Nebraska owes Pelini 6.54m ($142k per month) form his buy out through Feb 19. Whatever he makes from a new school is taken out of that.

Bo took a cut rate pay at YSU specifically to keep Nebraska on the hook. He makes $213k at YSU. That is taken off of his payments. Meaning he is owed 5.something or 128k per month through Feb 19.

He wanted to stick it to Nebraska and took a job at his hometown school for his good friend at a discounted rate.

He's gone the second he's drawn enough blood from Nebraska. He'll land a CUSA, AAC or P5 assistant job when he wants too.

However, speaking of Notre Dame, YSU has a Graduate transfer QB from Notre Dame ( Monty VonGorder ) coming in. This is the son of the former Fired DC Brian VonGorder at Notre Dame, removed just a few years ago.

The speculation with both coordinators leaving is that Bozo is getting ready to leave or will leave after next season, after 3 straight stinking H. s. Recruit classes. This most recent early class was pretty good for a change.

Current coach McNutt, a former Ohio State star, will become the DC. McNutt recently coached YSUs secondary and he has a good coaching resume'.

He's the son of this goober? Best of luck with that

Bo is staying for one more year and YSU will make the playoffs this coming year. But 2019 is a whole different story.... Enjoy the ride.

Bozo was hired for the same money or a slightly higher rate than the previous coach. YSUs pay has never been top notch. But because it was a legitimate rate of pay that he got, he was entitled to the difference Neb. owed him. It was well known Bozo wanted to stick it to them.

the bigger issue is his ego, which is what got him n trouble out there. Getting fired was not because he averaged 9 wins a season and they wanted more and not because of sideline anger management problems nor his flagrant pornographic language . It was because he refused to yield to higher authorities, curbing his issues, backstabbing them as an affront to HIS authority as his ego dictated. He was the coach. He was the expert. He ran a winning program and didn't want anyone sticking their nose in HIS business. So he backstabbed them and tried to undercut their authority. Remember, he had the backing of the legendary former coach who hand picked him. How dare they challenge him.

The Notre Dame QB isn't much help. He was a walkon but who's expenses were covered Because his Dad was a ND employee, the team DC. He eventually was put on schollie when his Dad was fired and played as the holder. He has next to no time as a QB. As bad as YSUs QBs are, there may be one or two better than this kid. Maybe. The incoming Frosh recruit is all of 6',170 soaking wet , dual threat and nowhere ready for beating he would take.

And, Chief, you got to stop smoking that stuff. It's obviously affecting your judgement. No playoffs.

The other obvious elephant in the room is he has been paid millions and millions of dollars over the years. As a multi-millionaire, he has no need to work. What drives his ego here ? He is "home", the kids are about raised and he has moved around a lot already. His fellow buddy from Youngstown Cardinal Mooney ,Bob Stoops ,retired early from Oklahoma as a multi- millionaire . Is it time to hit the links and laugh at it all ?

Not all doom and gloom Pally. Carl left because he wants another chance to become a HC. It's still Bo's defense. Montgomery leaving is the best thing that could've happened to this program. He was told he had no chance to become the HC so he bounced to become OC at possibly the worst FBS program in the nation, good luck to him lol. If the QB situation can shape up and not be so terrible, the talent is here to be a playoff team with the transfers coming in this year.

The talent ? LOL. Stop smoking that stuff. You are reaching moron level along with moRon.

The QB situation is truly abysmal. There are no OTs, none. The rest of the OL is thin, no depth. RBs are ok. WRs and TEs are problematic. Most are busts. There are holes in the D. A headjob for a kicker. New OC. And possible coach changes still to come. You should have a few drinks with what you are smoking. NO PLAYOFFS.

Bozo has passed on recruiting Florida where we got many, many starters from and most of those were All Stars. He has 3 straight stinker H.S. Classes. Most recent early class is pretty good. Too little, too late.

I would guess that the MVFC Pre-season Media poll will have them picked in the lower half of the league. 7th would be fair. The other Board is clueless, as usual. Most missed on predictions for YSU last year, again. But, of course, I was on the money again with my projection. You guys need to be fans and stop being cheerleaders. Cheerleaders never get anything changed, only more of the same.

    Re: Early Winter YSU news

BTW, Chief, tell the guys on the board to stop clamoring about recruiting local "stars". That's one of the sins that killed the program under Heacock. Bozo shares the similar sin. Trying to mollify the locals will kill a program. Here's Bozos recruiting problems --

    1. He has abandoned Florida where YSU had great success getting All Star players.

    2. The Youngstown area is a shell of itself, has an abundance of D-III and D-II players but only a handful of D-I. Most that YSU recruit here struggle to play. Most of the time, it's a wasted schollie.

3.Bozo still recruits undersized players at many positions.

    4. While he's had great success with the transfers and Jucos, if not for them, the program would be trashed. The ND QB and OSU TE are problematic. Neither may be much help.

    5. While I like the big school parochial players he gets, they still bring in small school stars more adaptable to D-II level play who may not play here until a senior. Talent level is dropping.

    6. I'm told the rapist recruiting is producing polices that may make future "characters" persona non grata.
