    Re: Coaching Carousel 2017/18

From the UCAFANS board: (This is where I got he interviewed twice):

Your correct on the Austin Peay coach being the front runner, however, they have interviewed Coach Campbell two times and there was a third time scheduled for today, but I'm not sure that happened.
If Joey Jones of South Alabama resigned on Nov. 20th, then if Campbell interviewed TWICE as stated in the post from UCAFANS, it would have been after that date. Our playoff game was Dec. 2. So about a week and a half before the game.

In an article posted on Nov. 28, the AD of So. Alabama said they had not had any formal interviews yet. So how did Campbell get two interviews between Nov. 28th and Dec. 2? If he did? http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2...ng_search.html

This crap is all confusing. He's a heck of a coach that deserves more pay obviously. But still can't say if he interviewed the week of our playoff game. Then where did Beau's post get its info?

Lateral move at best. ECU is a dumpster fire waiting to be put out.

Hendrix is young, and not likely to move soon (although Georgia Southern may go after him when they fire their new coach in a year or two). To move up, Cronic needs to move on. If he is successful at L-R, he should be in a good spot for the Kennesaw job if Georgia Southern goes after Bohannon instead.

Right. I think Hendrix will be the head of the Furman program for a while.

Even though Furman's offense was quite good this year, I do not think this is a crippling loss. Cronic, to me, seemed to oversee a collective effort of marshaling the offense, and wasn't necessarily one of these offensive "brains" that takes all the productivity with him.
