Love to have Caribbean hen, Mr. Chicken, & other fowl friends sweating out selection Sunday with another loss to the seemingly toothless Cats.

As Carib and others have stated no one from UD fandom will be taking this game lightly and neither will the team. The loss to Towson taught that - although we've been flat even after that debacle and so with Nova having our number so many years and Hens showing a capacity to come out flat for 3 qtrs, we all expect a hard fought game and the winner will be the team that played the best. If we lose we are out and no one is holding our breath about that. As the other Hen fan said even going 8-3 wont guarantee a post season bid. Hens!

As if the offenses didn't need any reasoning to underwhelm, the forecast is 54 with likely showers.
Delaware vs. the field (record; last game):
    JMU (13-11 UD; 2017) - NDSU (0-0; 2018*) - JSU (1-0 UD; 1978) - UCA (0-0) - SDSU (1-0 UD; 2010) - SHSU (0-0; ) - WOF (1-0 UD; 2003) - SUU (0-0)
    SBU (1-1; 2017 [18*]) - Lehigh (30-17 UD; 2010) - WSU (0-0) - WIU (1-0 UD; 1978) - UNI (2-0 UD; 2007) - MON (1-0 UD; 2007) - UNH (21-12 UD; 2015 [18*]) - CCSU (0-0)
    KSU (0-0) - Samford (1-0 UD; 1992) - NSU (0-0) - SDAK (0-0) - Elon (2-0 UD; 2015 [18*]) - Furman (0-2 FU; 2008) - NAU (0-0) - USD (0-0)

Time for the Hens to hit the weights hard (UND style) to prep for the 4 playoff teams in 2018.

I think an offense has to be good in some aspect before it can be nullified by weather, no?

This might be a 6-3 game in a dome.

Nothin' against the 'cats, but I'm rooting for the Hens in this one as it improves our chances (assuming we beat Laughyette) of not having to travel to UNH and may get sent to either SBU or "The Tub", which I'd prefer. Great atmosphere and Lehigh would bring a good crowd. An old rivalry that needs some reviving!

Ross Ventrone. Played for the Pats and last time I checked was with the Steelers last year. He could bring the wood much like his older brother Ray Ventrone who also played in the NFL.
