CFB Award Watch Lists- FCS Style

With all the watch lists being put out and there rarely being a FCS player on them I thought I would make some for just FCS players.

I put 15 players per position, except just 10 for center, kicker and punter watch lists, and 20 for defense, lineman, offense, and overall player lists.

I could have gone with more names but thought if I listed 40 FCS WRs or 25 kickers or QBs that it would be overkill.

What do you guys think? Anyone missing who you feel is a major snub?

Yeah, Jr. WR Kelvin McKnight of Samford. There just aren't that many better in the FCS. He was somewhat overshadowed by Karel Hamilton last year, but this guy is an amazing receiver. I imagine his stats will be off the chart this season.

Hall is a beast but this may be stretching it a little.

Also, no Jackson on that list? K.

A typo you get when you type several QBs in a row. I almost put Jackson but realistically a defensive player won't win that award unless they play special teams so I cut it off at just 1 DL.

I know many are probably thinking there is no way an OL would win the award but Parris is the best in the country and legitimately a top 15 player overall while Parker is too decorated to snub so I felt I had to fit them both on there.

While I doubt the top 3 finalists would look like this, the top 3 players on this list are Goedert, Edmonds, and Briscoe. These type awards truly go to a RB, QB, or a two-way player but Goedert is the real deal. Briscoe isn't quite the NFL prospect the other two are right now but those 3 are the top players I saw on film in 2016 who return this year.

You guys saw how high that Ashland TE went this year? Goedert could pull that this year. The Ashland TE was the best player in all of D2 by far last year and Goedert is that for FCS this year.

He has freaky hands, shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiOVC1kREIA

    Fair enough.

It will probably be some QB that never plays a real defense all year anyway.

If Marlon Bridges has another monster year I could see him being in the mix for some of those defense awards as well. He balled out last year as a freshman.

I have Bridges on the Thorpe list. If he has another 1st team All-OVC type season he will be on every award list possible next year I'm sure.

He was one of several receivers I considered and would have put on here had I gone to 25-30 receivers, instead of just 15, for sure. I also had Davion Davis of SHSU, Stony Brook's Ray Bolden, Murray State's Jordon Gandy, John Williams of Wagner, Kameron Brown of Charleston Southern, McNeese State's Darious Crawley, Tennessee Tech's Dontez Byrd, and Gatlin Casey of Lehigh in the next group.

Kuhnert for NDSU will likely play C. I would include him.

I have him listed as a guard now but if he plays center I would add him for sure.
