Harvard #79 not yet assigned; here is an incoming freshman eligible to wear it:

(Note: One of Hero Sports' highest ranked FCS recruits for 2017, I think he was #2.)

    Eric Wilson
    Height: 6-4
    Weight: 280
    Year: Fr
    Hometown: Minnetrista, Minn.
    High School: Benilde-St. Margaret's
    Position: OL

    Before Harvard
Four-year letterwinner on the offensive and defensive line … Named captain for both junior and senior seasons … Selected to AP first team all-state in 2016 … Awarded the Suburban Red District Defensive Lineman of the Year … Selected to all-conference team in 2015 and 2016 … MFCA All-Star game participant and earned the south team offensive MVP … USA Today first team all-state … Nominee for Mr. Football in Minnesota in senior season … Star Tribune All-Metro selection … Named one of four “Super Preps” by Minneapolis Star Tribune … Helped Benilde-St. Margaret’s to State Class AAAA Championship in senior campaign … Also a three-year letterwinner in track and field and two-time team captain … Earned all-conference recognition for shot put and discus … Named to all-conference band in junior and senior year … Achieved highest honor roll all four years at Benilde-St. Margaret’s … National Honor Society and Spanish Language Honor Society member … Recipient of the MFCA Academic All-State award and Jerry Miller Award for 2016 Varsity Football Christian Service Award.
Ivy League Football: Since the latter half of the 20th century, slowly self-destructing to become irrelevant in the scene that they used to dominate, not too many fans among the younger generations, rusting their potentials in the process.
Before, I liked a lot about Harvard football. Now, not so much. They are the main perpetrators of why Ivy League football has lost its popularity and it may never go back to what it used to be.

    #79 not currently assigned
    JIM SWEENEY

    Position: Offensive Line Coach
    Alma Mater: University of Pittsburgh
    Graduating Year: 1984

Jim Sweeney, a 16-season veteran of the NFL, enters his fourth season as UAlbany's offensive line coach in 2017.

In 2016, Sweeney's offensive line blocked for All-American Elijah Ibitokun-Hanks with UAlbany gaining 167.2 yards per game on the ground, helping the Great Danes to a 7-4 record, including the running game earning 295 yards in a 36-25 comeback victory at New Hampshire. Kevin Malloy, the left tackle, earned his third-consecutive place on the All-CAA team.

Under Sweeney's direction, left tackle Kevin Malloy earned consecutive third-team All-CAA honors in 2014 and 2015. In addition, the offensive line protected quarterback Will Fiacchi in 2014, allowing him to break the program's single-season passing record (2,636 yards) and career passing record (7,150 yards).

Sweeney was a four-year standout on the offensive line at Pitt (1980-84) where he earned a B.S. in sociology and administrative justice. A second round pick in the 1984 draft, Sweeney was named to the All-NFL Rookie Team after his first season with the New York Jets. Playing 11 seasons with the Jets with 158 consecutive starts, Sweeney was named to the All-Time Four Decades Team and is still referenced as one of the most consistent centers in franchise history. Sweeney also played one season with the Seattle Seahawks and closed his career with four seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

From 2000 to 2002, Sweeney was a member of Gattuso's staff at Duquesne where he coached the offensive line that helped produce two 1,000-yard running backs in a pass-oriented offense. Sweeney then went on to coach eight seasons at the high school level in Pennsylvania.

In the summer of 2010, Sweeney served at the offensive line stand-in coach for Russ Grimm and the Arizona Cardinals before participating in the NFLP/NCAA Coaching Internship Program at Frostburg State University in 2011. Sweeney came to UAlbany after spending 2013 as an offensive line consultant for the Pittsburgh Power of the Arena Football League.
