Clearly the word 'big' was not used in either announcement as neither was of "considerable size, extent or intensity" and certainly not of "considerable importance or seriousness"....
One was for a membership coalition with another league with no clear timetable of anything changing... it certainly piqued our interest in the potential addition of North Alabama to the Big South for football, but to date... no news on any fronts whether it be North Alabama or one of the non-scholarships fiddling around with scholarship football...
The other 'teased' us all, only to announce a new app. Well, Mazel Tov to the Big Sky! Welcome to 2016. You do realize that many schools, conferences already have apps even amongst the FCS community? Some for quite a few years.
I just suggest going forward that conferences use better judgement in making announcements. Some announcements from the "Big" leagues aren't really deserving of being called 'big'...
