No way in hell would I be playing at 40! Not with millions in the bank!

Tom Brady has a net worth of nearly 200m
    Drew Brees of nearly 150m
    Roethlisberger - nearly 100m
    Phillip Rivers over 50m

Part of what makes Wentz great his his willingness to move. Part of what will put him out of the league at 34 rather than 40 is his willingness to move.
I'm not going to argue Wentz shouldn't take a few less hits, but your Kurt Warner like wishful thinking he will be out if the league at 34 is laughable. He was the leader for MVP until he got hurt and it's not a huge part due to his running ability. That is in his second year. And your statistical comparison that Foles is just as good will look pretty hilarious in a few years.

I'll bet you anything you want Wentz is in the NFL at age 34.

People would have said the same about Aikman at 29 coming off his third super bowl in four years.....

I don't think that wiring is just limited to professional football players. Between the adrenaline rush, being highly competitive, and getting to bet on yourself that you are better than the other guy I am not surprised that some choose to stick it out as long as they do.

They remind me of doctors. They get to a station in life where the money is irrelevant. But they love the job until they cant take the long hours and their skill diminish so they have to hang it up.
Opportunity is unattainable for most people because it is disguised as hard work!!

Posting this here rather than start another thread. While it's not just a Carson story you can see by the little boys reaction who he really wanted to see
