Pretty decent stats for his rookie season:

    379/607 -- 62.4%

    16 TDs and 14 INTs
    2 rushing TDs

Those 607 attempts must be more than his whole Bison career.

Philly gets a few more pieces and a year under his belt, this team is on the rise. Looking forward to watching him next year.

    Re: Carson Wentz

Carson had a decent rookie campaign all things considered. Given a full off season to work with the coaching staff and receivers should only benefit Carson next season. Also sounds like he will be working with a QB guru to refine his mechanics.

Will be interesting to watch Philly's off season moves and what kind of play makers they can add to the team. I don't think they are too far away from making a PO run. They lost 6 games by 7 or fewer points and should have won at least 2-3 of those. Biggest needs IMO are WR and CB.

He's got to work on that tho.

Wentz had a solid year with not much around him. Will be interesting to see if the Eagles go after some better receivers in the off season.

He should have had even more int's. He needs to know when to eat it or throw it away rather then force it. I think the last couple games were a bit better in that department. You'd like to see his attempts come down with a better run game and playcalling. Bring the completion percent up with some better receivers. Get a more consistent oline, there were lots of moving pieces there this season including a couple rookies. Hopefully no more suspensions!

Yes he does. He'll improve significantly in season 2 IMO.

It will be interesting to see what the front office does to fill some glaring holes.

Wentz will be fine.......needs weapons and a rushing attack. Not a coincidence that his success saw some bump with Lane Johnson back as well.

    Re: Carson Wentz

A huge kudos to Carson Wentz this morning as Tampa Bay quarterback "Famous" Jameis Winston, from the iconic Florida State University, deigned to give Wentz props for being able to transition to the NFL from Division 3. Probably the single greatest achievement in Wentz' athletic career to date.

As for the truth on both of those two you asked about, Wentz showed he is a solid player who probably should have been a third-round pick who sat for a year or two and then be a guy you put on the field after a little while

SCFF, you were quoted in a Haley article with the above quote. I am curious if you could expand on your thoughts. I thought and it seems to be a consensus that Wentz didn't perform badly enough to fall out of the first round. I honestly don't know too many players I would draft ahead of him if it was re-drafted. Maybe Dak and Zeke, but dropping to round 3 is pretty harsh, imo.

    Re: Carson Wentz

Also interested to see that he's hired a QB mechanics coach....even though I was repeated told on here that his mechanics were not an issue at all and I was just a jealous hater...

I wanted to post that when I saw that story a few weeks/month back but didn't want to bump the thread and bring up the comments of being a hater and jealous and blah blah blah
