    Meanwhile...

EIU has adjusted its two other OOC opponents' dates to make way for an open date at HC Dameron's alma mater, Arkansas. The Razorbacks game will be on September 1, with the other two OOC opponents (at the Redbirds and home against the Trees) moved to September 8 and 15, respectively.

Ivy League Football: Since the latter half of the 20th century, slowly self-destructing to become irrelevant in the scene that they used to dominate, not too many fans among the younger generations, rusting their potentials in the process.
Before, I liked a lot about Harvard football. Now, not so much. They are the main perpetrators of why Ivy League football has lost its popularity and it may never go back to what it used to be.

In the meantime, Go Stony Brook Seawolves!

At the risk of repeating what someone else said, Lafayette's schedule for 2018:

    9/1 Central Connecticut
    9/8 @ Delaware
    9/15 OPEN
    9/22 @ Sacred Heart
    9/29 OPEN
    10/6 @ Army
    10/13 Georgetown*
    10/20 @ Bucknell*
    10/27 @ Fordham*
    11/3 Holy Cross*
    11/10 @ Colgate*
    11/17 Lehigh (No. 154)*

    *Patriot League game

Ned to fill an open date, and preferably with a home game.

No Ivys? I'm surprised Princeton doesn't want the win.

Despite playing Princeton and Harvard this year, Ivys have been a little scarce on the Lafayette schedules of late. Of particular note is the absence of Pennsylvania, I think the Quackers are the third most played opponent in Leopard history (somewhere around 90 games). Somebody pi$$ed off somebody and the story is not getting out.

Are you sure of the date for the game vs. CCSU?

FYI - Central Connecticut is contracted to play at Ball State on Aug. 30, so I think we might be scheduled for one of the OPEN dates you have listed.

He knows that. It's just the fans of the rest of the schools in the U of L system refuse to recognize it and it is not their legal name. They would like to think of themselves as the flagship of the U of L system but they aren't.

I'm as good as my information on this. The schedule is pulled from Lafayette's 2016 Media Guide which was probably published last July or August.

The Ivies dropping games with us (with the increasing exception of Georgetown) is akin to one cutting off their nose to spite their face.

    No such School.

The State of Louisiana expressly FORBIDS any school in the State from calling themselves THE University of Louisiana without attaching their City to it. They are UL@L and heavy on the second L.

It's thier stupid ass fans with grand delusions of being something that can not be due to the law. There is a reason they are the most hated fan base in the state.
