    Re: Campus "Tour"

The Citadel does not have the most picturesque vistas Like those Montana folks or WCU, but it is a unique place. The campus is actually fairly compact, centered on the Parade Field, and within the city limits of Charleston along the banks of the Ashley River. The football Stadium is just off to the left a couple blocks. The Baseball Park is in the upper left on this side of the river. The park in the bottom left is not part of campus.

A view of Parade Field below during a parade. There used to be many more huge oaks around the Parade Field but Hugo took them.

The Chapel. Actually where I was married.

The Barracks below. Each one has 4 rifle companies and staff. The biggest one in the middle also has the Regimental Band. We had had only 4 barracks since WWII but we added a fifth one recently, in the back. You can barely see 1st Battalion on the right. Except for the far left one, the other three were recently torn down and rebuilt from scratch. They all got central air and internet now....wimps.

The Old Citadel below in downtown Charleston. It is actually a hotel now. The school moved from downtown to its present location in 1922.

I'd love for Lehigh to schedule a game at WCU or Temple to visit Boone. I was just in Eastern NC and it's rather boring. The western part of the state is high up on my bucket list....

Not that I've seen all of them, but Elon could very well be one of the best/prettiest campuses in the country.

Furman is pretty damn nice too. Don't have any pics handy but the Furman folks will help I'm sure.

It's obvious that you clearly have 'Lehigh-envy', right behind the folks from Lafayette, but this did make me laugh.

Where's that one? I swear I had a dream once where I was running around a house that looked just like that.

Lafayette/New Hampshire might have gotten to 200+ pages, but that's only because those two weak-minded plebes didn't have the testicular fortitude to take it to a level where the thread gets shutdown. Haha

That's Halcyon Hall from the Bennett School for Girls (also known as Bennett College, but as a school for girls, you can see how it could be easily mistaken for Lehigh) in Millbrook, New York. It's been closed since the late 70's.
