Re: Old Historical Pics of FCS Teams Thread

Since y'all are posting pics from 1985...

Here's one of McNeese vs. The University of Texas @ Arlington, who - despite producing quite a few NFL players, dropped football the next year.

Look how heavy handed McNeese is...with everybody leaning forward. 90% of the time, the opposing defense could call out the correct play. When you only run the sweep and a few inside plays, it's not hard to guess right!

Here's another, McNeese vs. North Texas State, playing during Hurricane Juan, which went ashore the next day at Morgan City, La.,

You couldn't get away with playing a game that close to a storm now...

This one was a 0-0 tie. Here, McNeese QB Subester Brooks runs a QB sneak and climbs all over my back to get a first down...

Furman Football Video with highlights beginning in the 50's - 14 minutes of Paladin Awesomeness vs. Chatt, JMU, Appy, W&M, Richmond, and many others, including much domination of CIT.

Worth the watch. Even citdog will appreciate the historical value of these clips.

And...for your viewing pleasure, FUBeAR makes a few small cameo appearances.

Is it okay to post historical pictures of ex-FCS teams who are no longer fielding football programs? (e.g. Boston-area schools not in D-III or named Harvard or BC or the Cal State schools who fielded football until the 1990s and as late as 2001)
Ivy League Football: Since the latter half of the 20th century, slowly self-destructing to become irrelevant in the scene that they used to dominate, not too many fans among the younger generations, rusting their potentials in the process.
Before, I liked a lot about Harvard football. Now, not so much. They are the main perpetrators of why Ivy League football has lost its popularity and it may never go back to what it used to be.

~ Which of ETSU, Stony Brook or Albany shall I cheer for now? ~

If you see a No. 3 for FSU on there, it's probably Burt Reynolds.
