Towson's defense....Can they stop the Bison offense?

I honestly don't know. Towson's D has played spotty at times this year (Look at the loss to Delaware as an example of a meltdown). The D really adjusted in the EIU game after the first few drives and for the most part kept Garappolo in check. Towson's D can make plays when they need to, but we are going to need to be consistent against NDSU.

Same with the Bison defense. Need to bring their A game.

I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but I expect NDSU to win, most likely pulling ahead in the 2nd half with a final around 41-24 or something to that extent. Towson absolutely cannot have a start like they are prone to having though, I joked earlier this season the team's motto was "We'll spot you 20 points, good luck" but if the Tigers gave up even 10-14 points early it's going to be a long long day.

The critical matchup in this game and the reason I don't see an upset is NDSU running game vs Towson front 7. If Towson cannot stop them consistently, which almost no one has, then West, as great as he is, can't save them. NDSU is very physical upfront and they mix in the pass very effectively. Don't think they've played anyone as good as Towson, but it prob won't matter.

It's just a name for opposing fans that have so much envy of NDSU's success they have to resort to name calling. (See dumb@$&, farmer, etc). You seem to have it nailed so enjoy the honor.

Towson should match up pretty well. They've got the best OL in their conference, two huge guys in the middle of their defensive line, and an amazing RB, West (it's not just his power and speed but his lateral movement is exceptional), and a very good coaching staff.

In fact, Towson is the team I thought had the best shot at beating NDSU for quite a while

This is basically what the UNH coach said when he referenced that he would love to see the Towson offense match up with the Bison defense. He went on to say that the problem with playing NDSU is that not only is their defense good their offense is too. Their balance on both sides of the ball makes them very tough to beat. If Towson's defense allows Brock Jenson and company to chew up the clock with first down after first down it won't matter how good the Towson offense is.
