UIW’s run to the semifinals might’ve been “unexpected” to some but what they did to that point in the year wasn’t really out of the norm. They did the exact same thing the year before.
Was Southeastern Louisiana for us.
I know what he meant, just haven’t heard someone call it one a or one double a in a long time.
Stop it. Jacksonville State is 1-A (?) ready and has been for probably a decade now.
Not sure how to link it, but Herder put out a tweet this week stating that conference leadership had basically walked back the FBS stuff, and that the league being able to move up had no standing....
Was lurking around another forum earlier and read that the SoCon was “deep in talks” or something like that with North Alabama and Eastern Kentucky. Went to UNA’s board to investigate and people were...
Good thing they still have ELITE playcaller Matt Storm!
This thread is still younger than SFA’s most recent playoff victory
Crack open a Joose, Coach!
They just left the WAC so doubt that’s a possibility, even if financials permitted.
Frisco does a pretty decent job promoting the game, although you don’t see much promotion of it within DFW at large. But there are signs and postings around Frisco usually and they push it on socials.
Wow, that would be a shocker considering the SoCon just upped their exit fee last month and UTC’s past stance on FBS football. It’ll be fun to see what happens but I doubt that rumor is true.
I’ll be curious to see what happens when CUSA expands to 12 and (likely) invites two of these schools.
Don’t get it twisted though, the CUSA and “G5” conferences will soon become lumped into that “college football ghetto too.
Yeah, it blows.
I’d heard they were considering joining rival North American University in the NAIA.
Not next season but hopefully it comes back in the near future. I think administrators will quickly realize an SFA game in Huntsville would draw much better and garner more attention than any CUSA...
Didn’t McNeese just turn down the WAC to stay SLC? Why would McNeese join?
Can an MSU poster chime in? I know we have a few in-the-know here.
Samford played well and above my expectations, certainly. Still, Furman is at home and the SoCon will go another year without a semifinalist. It’s been like a decade now? Like I said, Pat League...
The posters over on Big Red were throwing out Ron Roberts’ name as he was just fired at Baylor this week. Honestly, I think Scelfo would be a better hire. No disrespect to Southeastern, they’ve...
UNT is joining the AAC and went 44-44 under Littrell, including 0-5 in bowl games. I’m sure he’s a fine coach, serviceable to what a CUSA team might want, but the AAC is a major step up so it...
The meltdown on the Furman board is hilarious. As expected, crying about ethics, grades and Kinne. Never thought I’d see a SoCon power like Furman be put in their place by Incarnate Word.
Because Lamar is rich
