That is surprising and honestly kind of a bummer. Hopefully we get to host Montana State in two weeks and turn those stats around.

Funny to hear a Fargoite talk about someone having their head shoved up their *** -- sorta like the Pope calling someone a good Catholic.
Of course, being from Fargo, you can't fathom hot chicks...
That was definitely a WTF moment. I was watching that play thinking "Am I missing something? Why isn't he taking a knee?"
Settle down, nancypants.
Hosting two NCAA playoff events at virtually the same time is no excuse -- it's an honor your school will likely never know.
West side. There was that much space? From where I sat on the NW 30 yard line (row 38), it looked pretty full up all around me.
Busy day for UNI -- between the football, volleyball and concert...
I'm a fan of pussy. 6,915 is a joke. West side was about 7/8 full and East side was maybe 1/4. That would put it more like 10k-12k.

Certainly didn't help among the Cal's of the conference but the real knock against BYU is their academics. It has always been the case. They're B.A.D. -- BAD. Notre Dame of the west? Not hardly....
Yeah, but why is football entitled to so many scholarships? I suspect a lot of colleges around the country would have a much easier go of it if the number of football scholarships was halved.

Not to mention EWU football doesn't get great financial support from the state, so they have to chase the money.
Personally, I don't think it's a bad schedule at all, considering the constraints. ...
You're right about the Illini -- it actually doesn't refer to any tribe, which explains why they could keep it. It refers to the citizens of Illinois -- Fighting Illini was a nickname earned by...
Maybe so, but I think many people are missing several salient points:
1. The NCAA is a member-based institution. As such, UND does have a vote. In addition, member schools from around the...
I think you nailed it -- if UNI has a tailback who is a serious threat to break a play between the tackles, this will go miles to take the load off TR. Couple that with a spring where TR can...
You're leading right back into my point -- the only objective thing we can say about EWU is they are the national champs. Anything else, such as "they are the best team", is purely subjective...
Not to be a forum nazi but doesn't this belong on the Pro Board?
Having said that, good for him. However, I wonder how much of that money is guaranteed. The first axiom of college football is...
You're right -- it is out of the ordinary. Shouldn't be, though. Kids should feel free to go wherever they feel they have the best chance to play and still achieve academically.
I'll respectfully disagree with you. What I think is arbitrary is the expectation that playing a football game will always determine who is the better team. Putting two similarly talented (and...
Win definitively. Win big. Trounce your opponents and erase any doubt as to who is the better team.
Don't take any of this as an attempt to minimize EWU's championship. Winning the NC means...
$3.50 and a GPI ranking will get you a small cup of coffee at Starbucks.
The reasoning behind the GPI and polls are completely backwards. I know this is will tick off a few people because it's a...
As a fan, I think that's an unrealistic expectation. Really, the only thing we fans can expect is 60 minutes of football every week.
Having said that, I do think it's fair to expect the team you...
While I agree the PFL should get a bid, blaming it on corruption in the NCAA is a silly idea. The rules that the NCAA enforces are made and voted on by all it's member institutions.
Correct, but adding games does add cost. Reducing the number of at-large bids would allow more conferences to participate without increasing playoff costs.
The simple solution would be to amend the by-laws and eliminate the 50% at-large requirement. With the field at 20, 6-8 at-large participants is more than sufficient.
I don't think there's a person that would argue that point. My question is, why shouldn't a school compete at the D-1 level if they want to spend the money, since that's really the sole criteria for...
