Re: Southland Offseason Thread
Since our board is DEAD, let me get this started here.
Alright SLC fans, who is traveling to an away SLC game this year?
From my standpoint I see our incoming fans are:
9/16- SLU
9/30- SHSU
10/14- SFA
10/28- McNeese
11/18- ACU
So which one of you are coming to tailgate in Conway?! I've got a taigate spot, BBQ, cold drinks, music and plenty of room for two tailgate tents. Can we get the year started yet????!!!!!!

I might make that trip with the wife and kid. It will be a great game and I think could decide the conference champion. I will remember to bring the advil for when I suffer from looking at that god-awful field, though..:D

Hey you are welcome to tailgate with my family. You won't need the advil. It's better in person I promise. PM me when it gets closer to time and let me know what you guys enjoy eating and drinking. I'm trying to increase the fun and atmosphere at the games because our admins sure don't. xthumbsupx

Thanks. Will do. We have the same atmosphere problem at Sam. We have a few die hard tailgaters but not near the number we should have considering our success.
Re: Southland Offseason Thread
I'm just glad our game is early in the year. Deer season hits and nobody shows up. For example, 10,000+ show up for early games while 4,000 showed up for the Illinois State game in November. Pathetic. Seriously.

The deer in Texas are pretty scrawny, not worth the effort. They might do better this year with all the rain we've had.

Ive hunted TX out by San Angelo, Eldorado, Christoval. The deer arent as big as MN but they arent bad . Water is a determining factor out in the hill country. Deer are as thick as bugs on a bumper.
Also Miles TX has some of the best smoked sausage Ive ever had. They do the best job of deer processing also.
I still send a bunch of my MN deer meat to them.
