Monmouth recovers a Duquesne fumble at the Dukes 35 yd line. Game being played in absolute crap weather. Will be tough to throw the football I believe.

Okay, looked through the play by play, after the MU fumble, Duquesne kicked a FG and then forced another MU fumble. That they converted into an 18 yd pass play from Paterson to Spragg for the TD.

Monmouth cannot do anything on offense. Duquesne misses a 34 yard field goal and Monmouth goes 3 and out AGAIN

And Duquesne stops MU in the backfield on 4th and 2. I know we aren't having any success throwing the ball, but you have to mix in a pass at times. Run play action on 1st down and your entire receiving corps will be wide open.

Monmouth gets intercepted at the 1 yard line. Duquesne is pretty good. Monmouth played ugly, some of it due to Duquesne, some to bad weather, and some to terrible play calling imo

One team showed up to play today in the wind, rain and cold , and the Hawks melted away, just like the Wicked Witch of West Long Branch.

dgreco- You are right they have done it with local high school talent Passodelis Reichert ( I am sure i am missing some) and transfers Dixon (MSU) Patterson (Weber State) Bell (OSU) and some JC guys. They have also recruited some fringe guys McCoy that have turned out great. Its possible they go 9-2 and miss playoffs. A long way they have come in 4 years.

I think a 9-2 Duquense team has a very very very outside shot at the playoffs if a few teams miss the 7 DI win slots; even more so if Albany wins out (helps NEC/Duquense look better).

I sure hope so , that would be great for the NEC!!!! I think 9-2 with one loss in the league on the road gives them a shot. Either way like you said 9-2 is a heckuva season.........a week rest and then what looks like a tough road game against SH and a payback game for Robert Morris in three weeks. Program on the rise!!!
