The significant other, a Cornell grad, asked my why the Pards don't seem to invite the Big Red to Fisher any longer. I have no idea why. I shall be pleased, vicariously, with a Colgate win here, though.

Make it so, guys.

That was a pretty old series in a lot of sports, too. Cornell routinely played the "Middle Three".

Just win, 'gate. Red on Red crime.

Far above Cayuga's waters raise an awful smell,
Some say it's Cayuga's waters,
We say it's Cornell.

Go 'gate, scalp those 'bruins'...(not sure why Cornell shows a bear mascot in their logo, when they don't call themselves bears or bruins).

You never know in those rivalry games. I am old enough to remember when the Cornell types really busted our chops when they beat us nearly every year in the "50's, '60's and '70's. They were downright snotty about it - not at all like the Syracuse students and alumni who simply knew the schools were going in different directions athletically, or the Brown fans, who saw Colgate as a respected, traditional rival every Thanksgiving.

For that reason, I love it when we beat Cornell.

I heard a rumor a little while ago that Eachus will not play today because of a new injury...

Colgate's All Access coverage was supposed to begin at 12:50 p.m. It is 1 p.m., and nothing is happening, at least for me. Does anyone else have the feed?

Thanks,

The feed is up. Try refreshing your browser.
Colgate's QB, All-American RB and leading tackler are out.

Thanks. Working now. What happened to Eachus? And how long can McCord play both ways?

Seems like Eachus has a concussion. Huge score for Colgate. D has looked strong.

Cornell with five yards rushing, one yard passing after the first quarter. Colgate with two turnovers. 7-3 Colgate.

Cornell comes right back with great passing and scores. 10-7 Cornell.

Halftime

For all the injuries, we've played pretty well. Defense has to continue getting pressure on the Cornell QB and not give him time to set and throw deep. Offense will almost certainly keep it on the ground, even more so than usual. We've done a decent job getting push up front, gotta think that continues into the second half as their D-Line wears down. Wind is playing havoc with offenses and the kicking game, but it seems to be benefitting the team driving towards the south endzone (left to right on your video feed)

I agree with the above. Considering all the injuries, I think they are doing quite okay, plus the defense and special teams are looking better, too.

How bad is the Eachus concussion..out for the day?

Speaking of defense.... Eachus said he will play next week; that's all I know. Colgate just recovered a fumble from a Cornell sack; Cornell QB Matthews, unfortunately, is still on the ground.

How often do you see the same player (Jordan McCord) score a TD and make an interception in the same game?

Seeing Colgate's #2 QB being taken off on a cart is not great. As I'm typing Colgate picks off the ball in the endzone. Which, is great. Freshman Ryan Smith in at QB. He's supposed to have a big arm. Hopefully, he won't have to use it. Colgate runs the ball on 3rd and long and is stopped.

Cornell 17
Colgate 28
End 3rd

Injuries starting to pile up. Hasenberg is out with a foot injury, already taken off-campus to the hospital. 3 big turnovers for the defense so far in the 2nd half, but the offense may need to get one more score to really pull away in this one. Much as I'd love to see them just grind out the clock, Colgate will need to throw a little to keep Cornell from stuffing the box

Now DeCicco at QB -- what a game!

End Regulation

Cornell rallies, great effort on their part. Matthews is a dangerous QB and that Tasker kid knows what he's doing. A bad fumble from McCord and the inability to pick up 4th and 1 late gave Red some opportunities, and here we go to OT

Not going to lie, very nervous right now

Clutch PAT for 'gate after a TD run in OT. Come on D!

PAT was after a 15-yard penalty for spike on TD

35-28 Colgate
Middle 1st OT

Colgate punches it in with Jordan McCord. Celebration penalty (spiked the ball) pushed the PAT back 15 yards, but Uglietto hit it. Cornell ball

One of the craziest games ever. Colgate has the ball up 11 with just over 2 minutes left. Cornell ties it with five seconds left on two giant pass plays. Colgate's #4 QB in the game for last quarter and OT. 'Gate hangs on in OT.

Just back from overseas. Cannot believe how this game panned out! Great win for the 'Gate with serveral walking - (and non-walking) - wounded. Hope we get the troops back for next week.
